Fit Review Friday! Varley Halley Zip Through, The Slim Pant 25 inches, Hawley Half Zip

Happy Friday! First, before I get to the review, Mooncat is having their 20% off Lunar sale! It starts on 4/18. Use code LUNAR20. I do not get any commission or kickbacks from this brand, I just love them that much!

I went back to Anthropologie to see if they had any new Varley items to try on. I'm 100% sure that I need size XXS in their tops. For their bottoms, at least in the DoubleSoft fabric, I need a size small. The waistband is not very stretchy and it's a thicker waistband.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon and size PXS in Athleta.

I'm wearing size XS in the Halley Zip Through and I love the huge collar on the back, but the front by the waist is just very poofy. The length of the sleeves weren't terribly long, but I think if I could get my hands on size XXS, it would be even better. Unfortunately the store doesn't carry XXS, but it is available online!

By the way, if you haven't touched Varley's DoubleSoft fabric, it feels so cool and silky. I love it way more than Softstreme and Seasoft. I have a pair of their cuffed joggers which I love, but I really want to add a top. I think their styling is more elevated and sophisticated than Lululemon and Athleta. 😍

Next up, we have the Hawley Half Zip. I'm also wearing size XS. This pullover doesn't look as oversized as the Halley Zip Through. It also doesn't have the large oversized collar. I think I need to get the Catherine Half Zip Pullover which has the look I'm after. Or the Vine Half Zip Pullover would also work.

😍

The body is more flattering but the collar just looks too small. You can't tell from the photos, but the matching set actually looks so much better in person. The Slim Pant is the perfect length, measuring 25 inches long.

The prices are slightly higher than Lululemon. Their pullovers range from $120 to $160. 😕 Which is why I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger, but I'm working myself up to it. Plus, it's getting a bit too warm for pullovers right now. What do you think? If you have some Varley pieces, let me know in the comments below if you think they're worth the price point. That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. The Varley set is pretty with the gold zip! I do like the big collar better and I used to see Varley on sale a lot years ago… in random colors so I doubt you will get a full matching set… I’ve never tried just cause I didn’t think any fit could beat LLL and the extreme markdowns meant no returns either.
I’m supposed you like the Varley fabric more than Softstreme and seasoft! I will check out some items :D

    1. Hi Janessa! Yes the fabric is so much nicer than Softstreme and Seasoft. I am obsessed with it. Only thing, the tops run large. Definitely size down! I will have to see if I can catch any of the items on sale.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
