Athleta Fit Review Retreat Linen Top, Seasoft Mid Rise Crop, Seasoft Rib Crewneck Sweatshirt, Easy Fleece Mid Rise Jogger, Retreat Linen Mid Rise Short Plus Friends and Family Sale!

Athleta is having a Friends & Family Sale! If you have a store card, use code SHOPFIRST for 30% off full price items, however right now a lot of items are on sale up to 50% off. I have to admit, I am very tempted to place an order. Starting Tuesday, 3/18, the sale will open up to the public.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size PXS/XS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

(on sale $59.40)

In case you were wondering, these items were purchased last month. I'm finally getting around to posting my review. Last summer, I purchased the Retreat Linen Top in Pyrite and wore it all the time to the point where I wish I had more than one. It's an amazing lightweight layer to throw over a tank on those hot summer days when you want coverage. This year when I saw it released in the undyed color, I had to get another one.

I'm wearing size XXS and it's currently on sale for 40% off. I know I'll get a lot of use out of this top. I'm also wearing Seasoft Mid Rise Straight Crop Pyrite in the regular size XS for full length on my petite frame. Use code SHOPFIRST to apply 30% off.

This is my second Seasoft Rib Crewneck Sweatshirt. I love it in Shadow Blue so much, I also ordered it in Pyrite. Fit is relaxed and it's just so comfortable. It feels cool to the touch and this neutral color goes with anything. I'm also wearing Easy Fleece Mid Rise Jogger in size Petite XXS. This jogger runs large. I had to size down from my usual PXS and it fits really well.

The jogger is medium weight with super soft brushed fleece on the inside. The inseam measures 26 inches long and is the perfect length for me. It's a little too warm to wear these now as it's finally warming up in Atlanta, but I look forward to wearing them again in the fall.

Last but not least, we have Retreat Linen Mid Rise Short. The fitting room attendant was trying to convince me to get size XXS and said these shorts tend to stretch and bag out. The XXS was a bit tight around the waist and hip but I was able to get them on. I am wearing size XS here and the waist is slightly loose, but I didn't mind it.

(on sale $34.50)

I can't decide if I should go with her advice and size down or not. I think the XS looks fine? The shorts are currently half off, which is such a great price. I'm very tempted to order them in Black and Eden. What to do! The sale will last through the end of this week. Trying to stay strong but I may cave and place an order. What do you think?

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

  1. The linen shirts looks like it will be so nice for the summer. I haven't tried any of the Easy Fleece items, but they look super cozy!

I think if you're going to cave on the no-buy, it should be for items you were definitely going to purchase in April anyway, because you'll be saving money. However, if you're feeling compelled to purchase just because of the sale, and you're looking for items to get because they are a good deal, I think you should stay strong. Athleta has a lot of sales, and another one will come around. It's totally up to you though - I wouldn't judge!

As for the shorts, I think get whatever size you're most comfortable in! You could probably get away with either size and be fine.

    1. Hi Lola! True, Athleta always has a sale at least once a month. I'll think about it a little more. Trying to hold off as much as possible. I was going to get a couple more pairs of shorts for the summer. I will think some more on it. Thanks for your advice!

  2. I agree with Lola. If you are going to purchase the shorts anyway, why not do so when they are on sale? :)

I was tempted to get the Seasoft Straight Leg Crop in Pyrite (30% off on the Canadian site) but ended up spending the money at Lululemon and got myself the Slouchy Sling Bag 6L in Light Ivory which is super cute. Hope it won’t get dirty too soon LOL.

    1. Hi Andrea! Yep, I am leaning towards picking up a pair of the shorts.

Very nice on the Slouchy Sling bag, is this your first one in the style? Light Ivory will be perfect for the warmer months coming up.

    2. Hi Leslie,
I posted a reply earlier which didn’t show up for some reason ..,

Anyway, I have a couple slouchy bags from Uniqlo but they are kind of small. The Lululemon 6L one is perfect in size and I love all the pockets. My water bottle can actually fit into the outside side pocket. :)

    3. Oh wow! It can fit a water bottle in the side pocket? Would you send me a picture of that so I can see? I didn't think it would fit.

      Thanks in advance!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
