Photos of New Orleans Trip! My Sister Surprises Me With a New Purse!

It's been awhile since I went on a trip. We went to New Orleans for a long weekend with my sister and she surprised me with a new purse! I have a video up on my Youtube Channel if you want to take a look at the unboxing. I had the purse shipped back to my home since I didn't want to take it with me on the plane. The whole experience from the sweet sales associate to the overnight shipping was fantastic.

Now, I know you all want to know about the food! The first place we went to was Harbor Seafood & Oyster Bar. We ordered a ton of oysters. I forgot how much food is fried down here. It's a good thing we did a lot of walking everyday to burn it off. Hopefully!

The next day for lunch we had sushi at this place called Unagi & Sushi. It was excellent, but we ordered entirely way too much food!

Scallops

This was amazing!

After lunch we did a little bit of shopping, where I purchased this Always Effortless Jacket in Bone. If you missed it, you can catch up on my review here

Then we went to Saks where they had a Fendi store. My sister decided to surprise me with an early Christmas gift. Definitely check out the video for the story. It took me a long time to decide between the interlacing Peekaboo or the Selleria Peekaboo. Which one do you think I went for? Watch my video to find out!

Afterwards we walked around a lot and of course we had to hit up Cafe du Monde. It was so good, we went back twice! It's a good thing we got a lot of walking in. The weather was perfect. It was all clear skies and sunny, with high temperatures in the mid 80s, but thankfully it wasn't very humid at all. We totally lucked out.

Beignets part two!

The next day we went to the World War II Museum. It was fantastic. The place is huge and takes about six hours to walk through, though we didn't have enough time as they closed at 5 pm, but we still saw a decent amount in the two hours that we had. I highly recommend going and just be prepared to spend all day there, so give yourself enough time! There are also a couple of movies to watch that are worth paying for. Next time we will have to go back and spend time in the areas we missed.

The last restaurant we went to was Drago's Seafood Restaurant. Food was amazing. I highly recommend going to New Orleans if you can! We had a blast and I'm sure this won't be the last time we go.

I sure missed my cats, and I was happy to go home! Hope you all enjoyed these photos and here's to a productive week!

    1. Hi Andrea! Of course Snoopy would steal the show! =D

She's the best! She knows how much I love purses and still can't believe she would indulge me!

  3. Ok I need to be adopted by a sister like that! Good to know that the war museum is a whole day activity, our national war museum was a speed run over 2-3 hours.

    1. Hi AC! Haha, this was a once in a lifetime thing, I think. She normally doesn't go all out like this. Yeah I wasn't expecting it to be an all day thing for the museum. I was expecting 3 hours tops!

    1. Hi Janessa! I went with the interlacing Peekaboo, since the other side is plain. =) She really is the best.

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
