Fit Review Friday! Hold Tight Long Sleeve Henley, Define Jacket, Alpaca Wool Blend Cardigan Sweater, Hold Tight Thin Racerback Tank

Happy Friday! Dropped by the store to see what's new and couldn't believe they had the Define Jacket in Twilight Rose! 😍 I had to do a store try-on.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon tops.

This is the first time trying the Hold Tight line and the fabric is ridiculously soft. Have you ever walked around Target lately and touched toddler clothes? They always feel super soft and I've said more than once to anyone in earshot, "I wish they would make clothes this soft for adults!" Well, someone that worked for Lululemon must have heard me because this feels exactly like that. I wish I discovered this line sooner! I decided to size up to a 6 and love the fit. It's fitted, don't get me wrong, but it's very comfortable in size 6. The fabric is soft and has a lot of stretch. It also has super fine ribbing. I wasn't crazy about the curved hemline, otherwise I really liked this henley.

Next, the color and hardware combo that everyone has been waiting for, Twilight Rose with rose gold hardware! I'm wearing my usual size 6 in Define Jackets and it fits like a glove.

The color is amazing, I love Twilight Rose and I think it's pink enough that it doesn't look like my skin tone. Not the case here, plus the rose gold hardware makes it all okay! I love Define Jackets, but I never reach for them because of how fitted they are. I'll just have to admire this one from afar. Plus, the length is just a tad too long on my short torso.

Next up, we have the Alpaca Wool Blend Cardigan in Heathered Crepe. This grandpa cardigan is more my speed. The store didn't have size XS for me to try on so I went with the next size up and surprisingly, it's not super oversized. I think this is a nice relaxed fit that looks very cozy.

The alpaca isn't as soft as I would have wanted it to be. It still feels a little bit rough, just a little bit scratchy for me. It would be fine if you were to wear this with a long sleeve layer underneath, but I tend to run hot and usually prefer to wear a tank or a short sleeve tee.

Last but not least, I grabbed the Hold Tight Thin Racerback Tank off the sales rack. This is on markdown for $34. I ended up taking this home with me. It will be perfect to layer under my cardigans, as you see in the photo above. The hemline is straight across, which I prefer.

This is a very fitted tank and I'm wearing size 6. Super comfy, super soft. For $34 and in Taupetastic? Yes, please! The neckline is not too low. I may need to get a couple more in different colors, I can already tell this would be a staple in my closet.

  1. Hi Leslie,
I’ve said it before I just love your store try-on reviews!

The Define Jacket Twilight Rose/Rose Gold looks stunning but sadly Define is just not for me. Like you, the Define is just too fitted for my liking.

The Alpaca Wool Blend Cardigan Sweater is definitely scratchy and not as soft as expected. Too bad cos Glacier Lake is such a pretty color!

    1. Hi Andrea! Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoy these kinds of posts. Wil l try and visit stores more often.

It's okay, even though the Define isn't for either of us, we can admire it on others and I'm sure there will be other items that will suit is better. I'm looking forward to see what Lulu holiday items they have in store for us!

  2. I like the twilight rose define a lot but I would just be curious about trying it on in store only. Too bad the alpaca cardigan is not super soft. I find most wool items to be a little scratchy

    1. Hi Janessa! True, if it was a cashmere blend, it would have been soft. But then the price would probably be double! =T

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
