FIt Review! Banana Republic Boxy Cotton Crop Dolman T-Shirt and Oversized Denim Shirt 40% Off Sale

I can't believe we're halfway into September and it'll officially be fall in a week. I am looking forward to sweater weather and wearing my cashmere pieces again. It's been awhile since I've shopped at Banana Republic and right now they are giving 40% off with code BRCARDPERK. This is for card holders only.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size Petite XS in Banana Republic. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

This Doman sleeve top caught my eye. I love the boxy drape and it's not too cropped, it hits right at my belly button. I do think the proportions are too big for my petite frame though. I don't think I can pull it off as well as the model on the website. That said, I love this shade of green. It's a very gray based green.

The fabric is thick heavy cotton-jersey, much heavier than I expected, but it is a fall piece. The fabric feels very soft and drapes well. Everything about this piece is high quality and I do think Banana Republic is worth checking out more often.

Next up, we have their Oversized Denim Shirt in Dark Rinse. It's very soft denim and mid-weight, perfect for fall season. The black denim has a slight sheen to it. It is very oversized. I'm wearing size XXS and the length is too long. When I placed my order the website did not have petite sizing for this particular piece, but as of this post, they are offering this top in petite! I placed another order for this in Petite XXS. I will post an update when I get it.

Oversized Denim Shirt Rinse Dark Wash Size XXS

I do love the details of this shirt. The split hem and the shorter front/longer back make an interesting piece that can be worn buttoned up or open. The sleeve are too long as usual but it looks great with the sleeves rolled up.

You can really see the sheen in this photo. It's definitely not dull.

The back is too long and I'm hoping the petite version will be a little shorter. Banana Republic hasn't been this exciting, at least to me, in a long time. I'm going to see if there's anything else I want to try with their 40% off sale right now.

What do you think? Are they having a come back? They do have some cashmere pieces I want to check out. That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

  1. I think the long length of the shirt kind of works, for leggings type of tight bottoms (although you don’t wear leggings anymore) but I can see it kind of going together well.

    1. Hi AC! Agree, it would look great paired with leggings or skinny pants. I still have a couple of pairs of leggings left for just in case! =D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
