New Releases Week of July 30th 2024

Hi everyone, Leslie's husband here again, covering this week's drop. Firstly, thank you all for your comments on my previous post. More importantly, I'm really happy to see so many of you offering your condolences to Leslie. Her grandma was the most important person in her life and I've always been fine playing second fiddle to her, as she was an amazing person and caretaker.

I will admit it feels weird covering this, since I'm strictly a jeans, t-shirt, and hoodie kind of guy, but I'm willing to give it a go.

Not sure I'm feeling the pink, which apparently is the new color for this drop. The skirt look "business friendly" and given the few Lululemon items I own, some of their items are good compromise pieces; professional looking enough for the office, but still comfy.

The layers are too busy personally, but the model looks like the actress from "Lucifer". If you haven't watched that show, it's a pretty fun guilty pleasure.

These confuse me admittedly. I'm sure they're comfortable, but part of me feels like the designer was high and was like "yo, imagine taking sweat pants and turning them into cargo pants" and a marketing exec was like "let's ship it!"

Another confusing item. As you scroll this page, just line it up so that the model's hips are out of sight and this look really professional. The minute you scroll back up, it does feel out of sorts. It's like the pants version of a mullet. Business down low, party up above.

It's like the cargo joggers and the mid flare pants got it on and this is the child.

This bag is actually nice and I hope Leslie gets it to do a review on it. It seems different enough from their Everywhere Belt Bag and has a more sophisticated appearance. The different style and the fact that it's 3L rather than 2L makes the $30 price difference between this and the larger Everywhere Belt Bag a little easier to swallow personally. This is probably the stand out item for this drop personally.

Hopefully reading my commentary wasn't too painful. I know Leslie will be interested in knowing what you think, so definitely let her know in the comments. After talking with her, it looks like I'll be covering most of this week and next week, with her returning for the drop on August 13th.  Thank you everyone and hope you have a great rest of the week.

  3. Your DS Jogger comment is spot-on! LLL is really going wild on this cargo train.

I wish the Mini Flares were more of a Groove Pant cut in the legs, but I am happy to see a "Short" version. Previously there was "Regular" and "Extra Short," but neither worked quite right for me.

  4. First off- I hope Leslie is ok. My heartfelt condolences again. Glad she is spending time with her family.
Next- I’m loving the the male viewpoint on the lululemon drops. You are hilarious and honest. I always wonder what my husband is thinking when I put my lululemon stuff on. Lol.

  6. Your comments are hysterical. My husband is also frequently confused by Lululemon clothes, but always kindly follows me around the store staring at his cell phone while I shop.

    1. I believe all stores need to incorporate a 'husband drop off zone'. So far, only Athleta seems to be doing that with some of their stores having some pretty nice chairs.

  7. Love the post! Keep up with the great work! I agree that the new 3L bag is the only piece that piqued my interest as well.

Hope Leslie and the rest of the family is doing well at this difficult time.

  9. I love your take on this week's drop! It had me laughing, especially the cargo joggers. I don't get those either. They look kind of 90s hip-hop to me, like they should come with a matching fuzzy bucket hat.

  10. I love your commentary and I think Leslie should let you do it for her once in a while! :D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
