Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Softstreme HR Short 4", Softstreme Full Zip Hoodie, Softstreme Straight Leg Cropped Pant

Happy Friday! It's also officially summer! Even though it is very warm out, I still like to wear my Softstreme pieces when I'm at the office and there's nothing but free AC all day long. 😅 Which is why I couldn't resist placing my order for three new pieces in Taupetastic!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and 4/6 in Lululemon bottoms. I like to size up for their pants.

This is my second pair of Softstreme High Rise Short. My first pair was black and I did wear them quite often, so I decided to get a second pair. These are super comfortable, especially when you size up. I'm at the age where I do not like tight clothing anymore. 😌

I still think these look flattering even in a casual fit.

Oh,  I should mention I was working with very tricky lighting when I took these photos. They look more pink than they should. But I assure you the color is the most beautiful mocha brown with pink undertones. Itt is more brown than pink. It's such a gorgeous neutral.

Remember when I tried this hoodie in black and I returned it because it looked so frumpy? Here's the review in case you want to see it again. I decided I love Taupetastic too much and gave this hoodie another try. I think it still looks a bit bulky when zipped up, but it looks so good unzipped.

(This photo is probably the most accurate in color.)

I just love how nicely it drapes from the side and back!

I am wearing a size 2 in this hoodie and it's a very comfortable fit. It's slightly oversized on me, but still looks good. This matching set really brings me back to 2005 when I used to wear Juicy tracksuits! 🙈

What do you think? Matching set- yay or nay?

I lost track with how many Softstreme and Seasoft bottoms I have. I have a lot. But I do wear them all the time and I am still eyeing Athleta's version of Taupetastic - Smoky Rose. I am hoping I can show a comparison between the two colors soon!

Funny enough, I am actually wearing these pants as I type this up. I did notice these are not as wide leg as some of my other pairs. This one tapers a bit at the bottom which I prefer. These are not as baggy on me as my Navy pair that I bought a couple of years ago. I just love these pants so much that I am willing to pay full price.

What do you all think of Taupetastic? I think it's a top favorite color of mine from Lululemon. That's it for me! Enjoy your first official summer weekend!

  1. I see the appeal of the Taupetastic color but I couldn’t bring myself to go for it when I had the chance, I went with good old boring black 😔

I am really getting in board with this matching sets idea as well! I like how there is no thought process required to coordinate top and bottoms 😅

    1. Hi AC! I am the opposite, I can't really do black because of my 4 cats. One is orange and his fur will just get all over black like crazy.

Yes! I love not having to think about what colors work together or not. Matching sets is great for getting dressed fast!

  2. Hi Leslie,
You’re lucky that the Softstreme High Rise Straight Leg Cropped Pants fit like regular pants on you! I’m hoping Athleta’s new Seasfort Straight Leg Pant in petite sizing will work for me.

I dropped by a LLL store this morning, tried on the Always Effortless Jacket in beautiful Taupetastic and brought it home with me! I sized up to size 4 for a longer body and sleeve length, and I don’t mind the slightly oversized fit. Very happy with my purchase! :)

    1. Hi Andrea! I am guessing the regular pant will fit you and it won't work for me. It'll probably be too long, my guess is the inseam will be 28 inches. But I love the color so much I pre ordered just in case.

I'm glad you got it! Taupetastic is such a gorgeous color. Congrats!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
