Fit Review Friday! Athleta Run With It Jacket and Seasoft Quarter Zip

Happy Friday! Today we have a fit request from Cindy for Athleta's Run With It Jacket. I happened to see one at the store and did a quick try on. I also grabbed the Seasoft Quarter Zip in Pyrite. I am still loving neutrals lately.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size Petite XS in Athleta.

Athleta stores do not carry petite sizing so I usually try on XS and XXS to get an idea of what it might look like on me in size PXS. The Run With It Jacket is fairly roomy in size XS. I would definitely need petite sizing in this jacket.

The jacket length is too long, hitting my low hip. The sleeves are also very long, to no ones surprise.

It's a very comfortable jacket. Fabric is Featherweight Stretch and would make a nice layering piece. Looks like the jacket is no longer being offered in petite sizing, which is very disappointing. I have noticed that Athleta is cutting back on colors and only stocking basic colors like black in petite sizes. 😞

I tried this pullover a couple of years ago and thought it looked a little too pajama-ish on me, but Pyrite is so pretty, I decided to give it another go. Pyrite is a tan color with gray undertones. Taupetastic is prettier with it being a warmer brown.

I still kind of think it looks too casual on me, I think it needs to be a bit more fitted. I guess this pullover is just not meant for me. Maybe size XXS would look better? I'm unsure. I do think it looks pretty good with the Vuori joggers though.

also wearing Vuori's Boyfriend Cargo Jogger Size XXS.

That's it for me! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

(I guess since it's a limited edition drop, there are no petite sizing? 😒)

(In my cart!)

Still waiting for more Taupetastic items, but we finally got a couple!

  1. I have to check out the bomber if I get the chance, I’m always such a sucker for bomber jackets and it’s hard to find one flattering for me, ie not a football player looking

    1. Hi AC! I would definitely recommend trying it in petite sizing to avoid that look. =)

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
