Fit Review Friday! Hotty Hot HR Short 4 inch Iridescent, Scuba Full Zipped Cropped Hoodie, Scuba HR Mini Skirt, Ribbed Softstreme Zip Leg HR Crop 25 inch, Adapted State HR Cropped Jogger

Happy Friday! This is a long post, so grab your drink of choice and get comfy! I placed an order but only one item arrived; the Hotty Hot HR Short 4 inch Iridescent. I'm still waiting on a few more items, so I went to the store to see what new items they had and did some try-ons.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

Hotty Hots are my favorite Lululemon short to workout in. I personally prefer the 2.5" length, but I couldn't resist the Iridescent colorway. These are 4" in length and they're still flattering on my short frame. I love how they look, but the only thing I'm not a fan of, is when I'm walking on the treadmill on a steep incline I can feel the hem of the short hit against my thigh with every step I take. It's not as noticeable on the 2.5" length. Unsure if it is something I just need to get used to, but it was definitely noticeable during my workout.

Hotty Hots have been running small these days, but I stuck with my usual size 4 and I'm happy I did. These fit like a glove, but any smaller and I would have had to size up. The colors on these are amazing!! They are super shifty and I love how they go from blue to dark purple depending on the light and how it hits. I highly recommend getting these. They are very cool in real life.

Yes, these are the same shorts.

I grabbed a bunch of items to try on, the store had the Scuba Full Zipped Cropped Hoodie in Taupetastic/Gold in size 4 and 6. At the time of this post, this colorway is not available on the website, but will probably be available for the next drop. I am in love with this color combo. Taupetastic looks like a creamy latte and the gold zipper really elevates it.

This is the size 4, and while it fits well, it's just too cropped for me. The sleeve length isn't terrible, and it's very comfy, I just wish it were longer. It's a cute look though.

Size 4

While I prefer the length of the size 6, the sleeve length is way too long. The arms are also bigger and doesn't look as sleek. This Scuba feels thinner than my other OS Scuba Cropped Hoodies.

Size 6

Size 6 - super long sleeves.

I don't normally wear skirts, but the Scuba High Rise Mini Skirt looked cute on the rack. This has a super slim fit, booty hugging mini skirt. These are currently not available to order online, but I'm assuming these will also drop on Tuesday. It is so flattering. Price is a little steep at $78.

Fabric is blended cotton fleece, and yes it is super soft with ribbing along the waistband. This skirt comes in Alpha sizing and I'm wearing size XS. XS is equivalent to size 2-4. If you're inbetween sizes 4 and 6, I would size up. This is super flattering for petites. The length is perfect. This skirt hits above the knee, around my lower thigh. Waist is high-rise and sits above my belly button.

Next up we have the Ribbed Softstreme Zip Leg HR Crop 25" in black. I'm wearing size 6 and the fit is perfect in the waist and hip. I would suggest sizing up especially if you have hips as these pants are pull-on only and slim fit. The length is 25 inches and hit right around my ankles.

These would be great for the office, but I would have perferred just a little bit more length. Fabric is ribbed Softstreme. They are very soft but they do not have a lot of stretch.

Waist is high-rise. I do like the ribbed look. The lines add a nice texture and are visually flattering. I do think they make me look fitter and hugs all the curves.

There is a zipper at the ankle that changes the look of the pant. When they're zipped they are straight leg. When they're unzipped, they flare out a bit.

Last but not least we have the Adapted State HR Cropped Jogger. I'm wearing size 4 and while they look great, the waist is a bit tight on me. I would be more comfortable in a size 6, but they do fit nicely everywhere else.

The length is 23 inches, which turns out to be perfect as a jogger on my short frame. The leg tapers a bit. The cuff isn't terribly big, I think they look fine. There is a zipper at the hem for air flow. The fabric is thin and lightweight.

also wearing Allbirds Tree Flyer 2 in Vibrant Teal (currently on sale!)
*I've partnered up with Allbirds! Click on my link for a free pair of Trino socks with your purchase of shoes or apparel. Offer will automatically be applied at checkout if socks are added to your cart.*

If you're petite like me and looking for a pair of summer joggers, these would be a great option. Nomad color is a great neutral.

That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. 😊

  1. The fabric on those shorts are really neat! The ribbed cropped pants are a good length, no hemming required 😁 I am not big on wearing skirts either but it looks good on you!

    1. Thanks AC! I removed the tags from my Hotty Hots pretty quickly! The color shift is just too cool to pass up. The skirt is really cute, but not something I would normally wear.

  2. Thanks for another great fit review, Leslie!

I love my two Adapted State High-Rise Fleece Jogger in Full Length. Had to size down to 0 because of the length and it turned out perfect. Saw the non-fleece ones in the store and the waist seemed to fit tight, which means I will have to wear my regular size 2 and then the length would be a tad long. :(

The Ribbed Softstreme Zip Leg HR Crop 25" is really cute but sadly the length doesn’t work for me. The fabric is nice and soft though.

I really love your store fit reviews, Leslie! Really appreciate your hard work!

    1. Hi Andrea! Thanks so much, glad you like the store fit reviews! I will definitely do these more often. I get to drag my husband with me lol.

Yeah, the waist seems to be getting smaller on bottoms in general. I've been taking size 6 more often. =( I think I need to workout more, because size 6 is usually too big everywhere else. =( Sometimes it still works though.

  3. Thanks for the reviews, Leslie! The HH's look so pretty! I am also bothered by the hem of the shorts hitting my front leg when walking or spinning. This is why I prefer Track That's (3") or Fast & Free Classic Shorts instead. I need that full range of motion!

The cropped FZ has become my favorite Scuba style. The OS are just too boxy for me. I sized up from my usual 4 to a 6 to give myself a little extra room in the arms and waistband - as well as length.

I really wish there was a happy medium between the Softstreme Ribbed Zip Crop and Pant. I tried the 32.5", and they were comically long. The cropped version is too cropped for me, too. I think 28" or 29" would be nice.

I don't like how scratchy the Adapted State material feels. I prefer the LTT Jogger material - which is softer. A lot of the waist/hip ratios don't work for me either. I'm more of a square-shape than hourglass, but that's okay! I don't need to fit the clothes; the clothes need to fit me! :)

    1. Hi LZ! Ah I am glad I'm not alone with the longer hem hitting my thigh. I would want to do a long workout in those on the treadmill. I wish there was a middle version of the Cropped FZ and the OS Cropped Scuba haha.
But I agree! Clothes need to fit us, not the other way around. =) I will need to remember that.

  4. That skirt looks awesome on you! The Softstreme Pants are really flattering as well, but I agree, they need to be a couple of inches longer, especially with the flared leg.

I received my iridescent Hotty Hots as well. I had ordered a size up, and they are definitely larger than my usual size, but I'm not bothered by it. In fact, the liner feels a little more comfortable in the larger size, so I'll probably keep them. I agree, the color is awesome!

    1. Hi Lola! I think I will start ordering a size up if I want any more Hotty Hots. I do have around a dozen pairs, so I don't really NEED any more though.... unless of course a really amazing color drops!

  5. Hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! The colour of the HH shorts looks very pretty and the shorts fit you well! The Scuba skirt looks very flattering on you! I didn't expect the "sweatshirt" material to look good in a skirt, but it doesn't look bulky on you at all!

    1. Hi Karen! The skirt wasn't too much of a sweatshirt feel, it's more cotton than it is fleecey, and it definitely was not bulky at all. They really did a great job with this one!

  6. Those shorts in the iridescent color is so pretty and unique! I haven’t tried on the scuba cropped zip cause I know it’ll be too cropped on me. The taupe color is very pretty though. I wish the ribbed Softstreme pant were longer too! -Janessa

    1. Hi Janessa! I'm hoping for the oversized Scuba Full Zip Hoodie in Taupetastic. I hope it will be released. It's so pretty with the Gold HW.

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
