Review! Quilted Grid Crossbody Bag 5L

Since I love the Quilted Grid Belt Bag so much, I could not pass up the tote version when I saw it pop up on a random restock.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon.

(review coming!)

This tote measures 8.6 " X 5.7" X 8.6"

This is a medium size tote that would be perfect as a commuter bag. I particularly love the quilted feel. It's even softer and more squishy than my Quilted Grid Belt Bag. Many of your know I love touching soft and smooth leather, and this bag also satisfies my tactile nature. Even the handles feel soft and squishy to hold!

This tote comes with an optional crossbody strap that's fully adjustable. The strap also has loops for you to attach a charm or a pouch. I prefer to carry it by the handles or at the crook of my arm. The strap is a nice option in case you need your hands free. What I really love is how lightweight the bag is. I was very surprised. The bag feels like one of my down coats, it's actually kind of amazing.

Check out my video below to see what fits.

The back of the tote has an external pocket with a zipper. It's large enough to fit my iPhone 14 Pro. It's the perfect easy access pocket. Slip your phone in when you're in a rush and it's secure because it's on the back of the tote and likely against the side of your body, so it's very secure even without zipping the pocket closed. The bottom of the bag has what looks like pleather strips to act as feet. Considering how soft the bag is, I do not think these strips will protect the bag much, but it's nice that they still thought about it.

The opening is wide and has a black plastic zipper to match the color of the bag. I'm happy to report that the zipper runs smoothly. The main compartment is very roomy and can fit quite a bit.

The one thing I am not a huge fan of is the design of the closure. The zipper end just sticks out on one side. You can tuck it in the bag to keep it out of the way, but the design just feels a little sloppy here.

There is a zippered pocket and two mesh slip pockets on the inside of the tote. I would probably keep my card case in the zippered pocket and maybe some receipts or smaller loose items in the mesh pockets. I do apprecaite all the different pockets to keep things organized.

This exterior pocket is perfect size to stash your phone quickly. I think this should be essential for all bags these days. The handle is thick and soft. I do worry that the bag won't hold up as well because the fabric is delicate. I can see it snag easily, similar to down jackets.

The hardware is a very shiny silver. The strap clips on easily to the bag.

Fully adjustable strap with loops.

Price is $98 which isn't terrible for Lululemon, considering how functional the bag is. I can see myself carrying this bag for three seasons. I don't think I would use this in the summer, but fall, winter, and spring? Definitely. The quilted look just doesn't vibe for summer months.

Check out my video of what fits in this bag. The verdict? Did I decide to keep or return this tote? The answer is- keeping! That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

  3. YASSSS!! A bag review with video 👏👏👏 I find online photos and descriptions of bags don’t give nearly enough information as to how it would actually function, so your video is perfect! I also find that type of zipper style annoying on my MJ the tote bag because I can’t close it one handed in a hurry, I need to pull the end tight and use my other hand to pull the zipper shut if that makes sense. Glad you found a keeper though!

    1. Hit here! Thanks! I am glad you like the video. I plan on covering more bag in the future and will always post video review. I know some people do not like watching videos, while there's a whole group that will only watch videos. I wonder if there's a group who likes both mediums. Good point about needing both hands to close the zipper. That can be annoying. I can live with it though!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
