Just In! Allbirds Lunar New Year Wool Runner 2

Happy Friday! Janaury is coming to an end! So I confess, I broke my ban for these Lunar New Year inspired Allbirds shoes. I am a sucker for limited edition items. How is everyone else doing? We only have five more days to go. If I end the month as it stands right now, with Allbirds as my one purchase, I'd be pretty happy.

For reference I'm usually size 5.5 in Allbirds.

I don't have any kind of beige shoe in my collection and what I really love about this pair is how the dark red accents complements the beige really well. Red and gold are the traditional good luck colors for Lunar New Year and Allbirds did a great job with these shoes. The Botanic Red pattern on the back of the shoe remind me of clouds you would often see surrounding dragons in paintings. It's a very subtle but I dig it.

Love the red trim around the ankle and stitched eyelets.

Sizes are mostly sold out, but they are being restocked on 1/26 (today!)

I bought my usual 5.5 in these and the fit is perfect with some thin ankle socks. If you prefer wearing thicker socks, you may want to size up. If you're a fan of the original version of Wool Runners, these are sturdier and thus feel more stiff, which takes time getting used to. They also break in slightly after a few wears and the newness/stiffness softens up a bit.

I can't wait to wear these out! I'll be wearing them a lot this year in hopes they will bring me some luck. By the way, if you happen to be a Rooster (which I am) when it's the year of the Dragon, the Rooster benefits the most. The Dragon will bring the Rooster a lot of luck this year. I'm hoping it's true. That's it for me, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hi AC! I'm always surprised how many have stuck around and welcome new faces that drop by and say hello.

I am loving the LNY Wool Runner 2s. I'm sad it's been rainy all week, I want to wear them out already!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
