Fit Review! Aviator Nation Hunger Games Relaxed Pullover Hoodie & Zadig & Voltaire Markus Stars Cashmere Sweater
Did you all see the sneak peak to Lululemon's Lunar New Year drop on reddit? I'm actually a little disappointed. I am hoping there are more items with dragons on it. My sister is a dragon and I want to get her something from this collection. There's also a short video of Michelle Yeoh featured with other dancers promoting the collection. As a huge fan of Michelle Yeoh, I actually really love this partnership. It's very well done.
While we wait for the LNY drop (which is likely happening this Tuesday, I wanted to share a new brand I discovered over the holidays, Zadig & Volraire. I never heard of this brand before but the Markus Stars sweater really caught my eye and it reminds me of Coraline's star sweater that I love so much. So yeah, I had to get it!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and size PXS in Athleta.
The Markus Stars Cashmere Sweater is definitely oversized. I'm wearing size XS and I love the slouchy look. It's a casual sweater and looks great with a pair of dark jeans or leggings.
This sweater is made of 100% cashmere and as a huge Naked Cashmere fan, I bet you're all wondering how it compares. It's definitely not as luxurious as Naked Cashmere. It's soft, but not as soft. If you own any Naked Cashmere pieces, I'm sure you know what I mean. There's soft cashmere and then there's Naked Cashmere. 😆
Honestly, if I didn't love Coraline so much, I would never have bought this sweater. It's the connection I have to the movie. That said, I would still be interested in checking out some of their other items in the future, but I'm not in a huge hurry.
Next up we have one of my other favorite brands, Aviator Nation. Surprisingly, I didn't buy as much AN last year as I have in the previous years. I do think I want a couple more zip up hoodies soon. The ones I have are starting to lose its softness on the inside.
I love purple and this hoodie doesn't look as bright in real life, the lighting is a little off and it's making it look way more saturated than it really is. I love this pullover even though I'm not a huge Hunger Games fan.
Aviator Nation partnered with Lionsgate and launched official merchandise for the movie The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I admit I have not seen the movie. I've only read the trilogy back when they were released. I'm wearing size XS which is my usual AN size for hoodies. It's slightly oversized on me. I also like the stripes on the arms. It reminds me of Rainbow Brite. 😃

ReplyDeleteI looked at the LNY sneak preview for Lulu, and I'm disappointed too. In my opinion, the Rabbit items from last year were more interesting and unique. I'm especially annoyed at the HR Scuba Joggers. What makes them LNY, other than the cardboard tag they put on them (and assumingly the corresponding price hike)? None of the stuff looks particularly petite-friendly either. Grrr. I said before, I'd like to get something with a Dragon, since it's my year, but I guess it won't be from Lulu.
The video with Michelle Yeoh, however, was pretty awesome! She is so bad-ass! I'm a big fan of her as well!
Hi Lola! Yes if this is all the items for LNY I'm pretty disappointed. I would love to see a dragon on a belt bag or any bag for that matter. Coach and William Sonoma are so far my favorites. Lulu seems to have missed the mark besides the awesome Michelle Yeoh video.

ReplyDeleteMy store got the Scuba 1/2 Zip (Dark Red/Gold) and 25" Aligns (Dark Red) last week. I'm considering the Aligns since I don't have them in red, but they are regular Dark Red - silver logo and the usual white hangtag. There aren't even any accessories I like this year. Oh well - easy money save!
Hi LZ! True, at least my wallet is happy even though I'm not lol! The Wunder Puff red vest and jacket would have been cool if they just added a dragon somewhere on it in gold. Sigh....
