Review! Rothy's The Lightweight Petite Tote

This weekend went by so fast. I still haven't received my order from Lululemon, so I will keep you all updated when I get the Scuba MR Wide Leg Velvet Cord Crop. If anyone is looking for a cute tote, Rothy's Lightweight Petite Tote checks all the boxes. I'm super excited to share this review with you all.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

Check out my video to see what fits!

I'm a fan of Rothy's since they care about the enviornment and sustainability. This tote is knit from plastic bottles, roughly 316 grams of ocean bound plastic. That itself is pretty amazing. It feels soft and pliable, definitely not something I would ever expect from a plastic bottle. It is so well made and feels very high quality. And the best part? It is machine washable.

This medium sized tote can actually fit quite a bit. It can easily fit an ipad, a hardcover book and all of your everyday essentials like a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, etc and more. There is a clip in the middle to act as a closure to keep your items from spilling out. It can also double up as a key leash. The handles are thick and can easily fit over your arm to your elbow. It's also very comfortable to carry by hand.

There is an option to add a shoulder strap for an extra cost of $55. I opted not to get the strap. I have a few straps from other bags that I have that I can swap out if I want to. If you want to check out the matching strap, click here

The size of this bag measures 9.25 inches in length, 9 inches high, and 4.5 inches wide. It's very lightweight and under a pound. The handle drop is 4 inches. I love this bag for the office when I want to carry a little bit more things with me like my lunch. This would also make a cute little beach tote for the summer. I went with the black gray and white combo since it will easily go with anything.

That's it for me! Hope you have a wonderful start to a brand new week!

  1. I love it!!! I wish there was a slightly longer strap for carrying high up on the arm. Leslie, I wanted to tell you that we happened to be in California when they were holding one of their Vuori warehouse sales!!! I ended up with 2 pairs of shorts, 2 skirts , a hoodie and the miles joggers! No try ons and all sales final. And I love all the pieces I bought. I found the Halo performance hoodie too long though. But I just fold it underneath. There were sample items, flawed items, returned products, damaged and stained items. So you have to be careful to analyze everything before you check out. They had tons of the ripstop bottoms. A pretty good selection overall and they even restocked later on in the sale but it was too far of a drive for us to go back. They seem to have these sales every few months so definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

    1. Hi Cindy! Yes, this isn't a shoulder tote but you can add a strap at least.

Wow that's amazing to hear about Vuori. Did you see any Performance Joggers? Those are my favorite. Sounds like a nice haul! I'm jealous. How were the prices?

  3. I just read your post more carefully and see that you can buy an extra strap for your bag. I guess the strap can be shortened so the bag can be carried right under the armpit. I looked hard for the performance joggers but couldn’t find any in my size. I wish I had more time to browse and also to go back after they announced the restock . Prices were like this, t shirts and short sleeves $25, shorts and skirts $30, pants $40, hoodies $50. I think dresses and rompers were $40. I couldn’t remember the rest. But they had lots of leggings and bras. There was a limit of 10 items , and you needed approval from management if you wanted more than that. I picked up the performance hoodie in grey heather , not my first color choice but that was all they had in xs but at least it’s a neutral color and I really wanted it for the softness of the fabric. They discourage resellers that way. You had to register with a time on eventbrite to shop.

  4. I just saw your miles ankle pant review and regret not buying them. There was no try ons so I couldn’t risk it. I should have worn tight shorts and a tight tank top to this thing but I didn’t think of it. Not that I had those items in my suitcase anyway

    1. Wow those are pretty good deals. Prices are amazing! If they have these sales every so often maybe you can make another trip to California and you'll be extra prepared for it!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
