I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! I briefly scrolled the sale and then quickly closed the window. The final sale aspect left me annoyed. I didn't like it when Lulu used to do that either. It's hard to buy online as final sale unless I've already seen the item in person and tried it on. I've been burned a few times by final sale items that fit weird or colors were off IRL, so I'm wary of purchasing that way now. I end up listing them on eBay or giving them away and then feeling sour that I lost money (way less likely to take a risk again with that same company). It's a bummer because Athleta's return policy is one of the major draws for me.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I was contemplating a sweater, but it was final sale and in the end I decided against it for the same reasons. Plus it was still over $100. Athleta used to not do this, so I am disappointed as well. I was so surprised at how many items are marked final sale this early on. I am hoping they reverse that if the items do not move.
