Fit Review Friday! Athleta Tugga Sweatshirt and Kozy Karma Zip Pant

Happy Friday and Happy December! This is the last month of 2023 so let's make it the best one yet. It's been super cold in Atlanta and I needed to break out my down jackets this whole week. 🥶 This may be a really brutal winter. I've been reaching for my Naked Cashmere and my fleece items a lot. So much that I've been looking for more fleece options.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

This Tugga Sweatshirt is cute and cozy. I'm wearing size XS and I honestly think I should have sized down to XXS. It's very roomy and easy to layer but it's also very poofy and gives off a teddy bear look. I purchased Abalone Gray but my photos make it look more pink, but in real life it is a tan-beige color. I think it looks cute with the collar zipped up.

The sherpa is very soft and fluffy to the point where I am a little concerned if it will wash well. I doubt it would ever feel as soft and fluffy as it is brand new. There is also contrasting trim along the hem and cuff which adds a nice touch.

The Tugga Sweatshirt is very warm and cozy and if you're always feeling cold, this would be something you will never want to take off. I was heating up just from the photo shoot.

Next up, we have the Kozy Karma Zip Pant in Pyrite. Athleta is the only brand I have found that consistently offers petite sizing. Most of my bottoms are Athleta.

I am wearing my usual size PXS I found this to be true to size. I particularly love the side zipper and it's actually a perfect fit because the inseam measures 25 inches. Seriously, why can't Lululemon do the same and offer petites already? 😤

Unzipped.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the extra fabric underneath the waist/lower belly. I did feel like it poofed out a little too much. Otherwise, this zip pant is nearly perfect.

Inside is lined with soft fleece. These pants are warm which is why I think it has the zipper at the bottom to air out if you're feeling overly toasty. 😆 See? It's actually practical!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Stay warm!

  2. The pants are cute. Did you return both? Sounded like there were no keepers in this review.

    1. I did end up returning both. The Tugga Sweatshirt would have been a maybe if it had fit. The Karma Zip Pant was the perfect length, but too poofy under the belly button.

  3. Thanks for the fit review! I wanted to try a pair of those pants, but the petite sizes sold out so quickly on the Canadian site I didn't get a chance. I shall keep my eyes peeled for a restock. I love that the length is perfect for us petites. How did the ankle zipper feel? Did it rub at all?

    1. Hi Lola! The zipper wasn't an issue for me. I loved everything except for the poofy lower belly. The length is perfect though!

  4. Hi Leslie,
    Thanks for another great review.

I ordered the Kozy Karma Zip Pant in size XXS Regular and XXS Petite to try on. Sadly the petite one is too short on me while the regular one fits too big around the waist and the hip. Like you mentioned, it is poofy under the belly button and not that flattering. Too bad cos surprisingly regular length fits perfect on me and I love the ankle zipper.

    1. Hi Andrea! I normally love Athleta bottoms, so I was surprised about the fit with this one. I guess they can't all be winners!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
