Fit Review! Lululemon Collared Merino Wool Blend Sweater, Softstreme Cinch Waist Jacket & Wunder Puff Cropped Vest

I was going to have this post for Friday, but I couldn't wait to share it because it's just too good. The Softstreme Cinch-Waist Jacket is super petite friendly and I absolutely LOVE the Wunder Puff Cropped Vest Heathered in Wild Indigo.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This merino sweater is so cute for the office and it feels really soft and not itchy at all. The length hits at high hip. The neckline isn't too deep and there's also a button at the collar if you want to keep it closed up.

I'm wearing size XS and the fit is true to size. My only issue with this sweater is how long the sleeves are. The sleeves are so long and not the kind that can cuff up easily, so this was a deal-breaker for me.

Love the band at the waist.

The collar and ribbing makes this sweater look very professional. I found it to be quite flattering and comfy. The back of the sweater drapes beautifully. It's unfortunate the sleeves are so long.

I have to admit, I wasn't sure if I would like the Softstreme Cinch-Waist Jacket. I was worried the length of the jacket and the sleeves would be too long. But wow, I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love this jacket. I sized down and went with a size 2 and the fit is perfect.

I asked my husband, "So, what do you think of this jacket?" To my surprised he said, "I like it, it's kind of cyberpunk-ish with the high collar". If my husband ever compliments an item on me, I'm keeping it.

Softstreme is very soft as expected and Graphite Gray is a medium gray that will work well with my wardrobe. There is a cinchable drawcord at the waist that actually hits at my waist! I can't tell you how surprised I was at that. That almost never happens for me. I also love the pockets.

The sleeves are a touch too long, but I can't complain. The jacket is a keeper for sure. I'm happy to see more colors were released in this style. I'm glad I bought this one on sale for $99 but would happily pay full price if there's a color I really love. True Navy looks so velvety, I am quite tempted to pick it up.

For those keeping track, this is the third Wunder Puff Cropped Vest I have tried and I guess third time's the charm! Heathered Wild Indigo is absolutely stunning in person!

Funny story, while I'm taking my photos I can see Simi, my brown tabby starting to walk towards me, which is why you see my side eye looking down. 😆 The photos still look good, so I am posting them. Plus, they're "action shots"!

The Wunder Puff line tends to fun large, so I sized down to a size 2. The fit is perfect, but if you do want to layer a hoodie or a thick sweater, I would suggest taking your regular size. It doesn't get super cold in Atlanta, so I sized down.

How amazing is the color?! 😍 Heathered Wild Indigo is an iridescent color, changing from purple to blue. I bet this will looking even more amazing outside under the sun.

Simi's like pay attention to meeeee!

Her white little paws are so cute.

My only gripe about this vest and mind you it's a very small one, it's a little cropped and I do find it a hard to wear a top without it peeking out from under the vest. Is that just me? Or do we not care if the top underneath is longer? Please let me know in the comments!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic Monday!

  1. Hi Leslie,
Thanks for another great review. I wore my Wunder Puff Jacket in Heathered Wild Indigo for the first time yesterday and got so many compliments on the gorgeous iridescent colour! I’m even loving it more than my Heathered Plumful one!

The Softreme Cinch Waist Jacket looks nice on you! I have too many grey jackets and will definitely give it a try if it comes out in a nice colour!

    1. Hi Andrea! Wow, really? I sometimes regret not keeping a Heathered Plumful jacket but I'm really happy with Heathered Wild Indigo. I can't wait to wear it out! It just needs to get a little colder here....

I think True Navy looks really lush in the Softstreme Cinch Waist Jacket. That would be my second choice from what's available right now. If you give it a try let me know what you think!

  2. The WP Vest is so, so pretty - I love! I'm tempted to pick it up, but I already have 3 WP pieces...and live in Texas. I usually wear mine with a race length LS Swiftly that's a little longer than the vest. If I wear a cropped shirt, it gets too drafty.

I don't need more jackets or sweaters, but both of the other pieces look great on you. It's too bad the dang sleeves are often too long.

    1. Hi LZ! Ahhh thanks for the suggestion, might have to pick a up a Swiftly in the race length. I'm pretty happy with the Softstreme Cinch jacket. Will have to take a closer look at my wardrobe to see what I can weed out!

  3. I too grabbed that Softstreme jacket as soon as I saw it on WMTM, and I love it also! I was actually a little surprised at how well it fit actually. I find sleeve-length to often be an issue, but this one fit great :)

That Heathered Wild Indigo looks better in your photos than it does online! So beautiful! I wish it had been available in the cropped Wunder Puff....

    1. Hi Lola! I was so surprised too at how much I liked the Softstreme jacket.

I was hoping Heathered Wild Indigo would be released in the jacket version too, but seems like the chances of that are slim so I went with the vest. If by miracle it does end up coming out in the jacket I might have to get it too!!

  4. I love the look of the Softstreme cinch jacket, but there are a lot of comments about water leaving stains on the fabric which has made me hesitant. Have you had any problem with stains? Thanks for the reviews.

    1. Hi Julie! I haven't had any issues with stains. Usually they dry up and I can rub them away, or if not they always come out in the wash. It's not that much of an issue for me. I have a ton of Softstreme items and love them.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
