Fit Review Friday! Naked Cashmere Lavina Shawl & Banana Republic Morgan Cotton Cardigan

Happy Friday! Is it still too hot to be shopping for cardigans? September is sneaking up on us all and it'll be here sooner than you think. I wasn't planning on buying cardigans this early but I was able to snag both before my no-buy challenge and I'm glad I did.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS in Naked Cashmere and XXS in Banana Republic tops. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and PXS in Athleta tops.

Lavina Shawl - (currently sold out)

I'm really sad the Lavina Shawl is currently sold out, but the Montauk Fisherman Hooded Cardigan is similar and also on my list for the fall. I've been eyeing it for months now! It's going on my fall wish list. It's cashmere but looks very chic and sporty. Right up my alley. 😍

Back to the Lavina Shawl, I am embracing the long sleeves. I can always cuff them if I want to but I sort of like the look! I am totally wearing this outfit to the office come fall and I can't wait. Anyone else tired of this hot weather?

I took a million and one photos because every single shot is just too perfect not to share. I don't know how Naked Cashmere does it, but they make it look so effortlessly chic and luxurious but casual at the same time. The cashmere is so soft and not too heavy and not too light.

I'm wearing size XS and it's perfect. Just a little oversized but still looks amazing. Color is Oat and it's such a great neutral. I'm also wearing Athleta's Seasoft Straight Pant in Abalone Gray. Lululemon's Softstreme HR Crop Pant in Bone is also very similar.

I've been on a Banana Republic kick lately and the crochet detail on this cardigan is so pretty I had to have it. The sleeves are a little long and I did cuff them up once. I'm wearing size XXS and it's a little big, so this cardigan runs large.

The weight of this cardigan is absolutely perfect. Not too heavy, not too light. It's also made of cotton and feels really soft. Also planning on wearing this to the office. It's such a pretty piece. The only drawback is the lack of pockets but seeing that it is a crochet piece, it's probably difficult to hide the pockets. I still love it enough that I can overlook it.

Let me know what you think of these two pieces! That's it for me and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Hi Leslie,
I love cardigans/wraps and I’m always looking for ones that drapes well with a good weight. The Morgan Cotton Cardigan Transition is so pretty but of course it’s sold out in size XXS on the Canadian site. :(

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
