Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Wide-Sleeve Gathered Hem T-Shirt, Cinchable Waist High-Rise Woven Short 3.5" & Classic Fit Cotton-Blend T-Shirt & City Adventurer Belt Bag

Happy Friday! What is everyone up to? I know what I'll be doing this weekend. I will be watching 'And Just Like That'. I love me some Carrie Bradshaw. I heard Samantha Jones and Aidan will be in the new season. Aidan was definitely my favorite so I'm really excited to see them back together again. Please tell me someone here will be watching! I'm also currently reading Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I'm about halfway through and I'll just say it's the best book I've read in a long time. The second book comes out in the fall and I cannot wait! I know it's officially summer and I should go out and enjoy the weather and I will! Saturday, I'm seeing Garbage at an amphitheatre. I'll probably complain it's too sunny and hot. 😆

Today's fit review is all about Lululemon. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

This little black top is so cute. It's made of super soft pima cotton and very comfy. It is a little bit on the short side but it's not too cropped on my petite frame. The only time my belly showed some skin was when I raised my arms up. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and love the fit. The elastic band at the waist is very stretchy and sits on your skin, no pinching at all. This top is relaxed and the length hits at the waist. I actually took the tags off pretty quickly and wore it with my black Softstreme High-Rise Short and it looked like a romper but without the inconvenience. I should have taken a photo. It's a really cute outfit to wear over the weekend.

(I like to size up in these.)

I ordered the Cinchable Waist High-Rise Woven Short 3.5" in two sizes. I'm wearing size Small in Twilight Rose. It's much too big all around, but comfortable in the waist. I'm not a huge fan of high-rise bottoms, and I like sizing up so I can pull the waist a little lower. However, I love the color Twilight Rose and definitely need to add more pieces in this color. The fabric is a bit rough and crisp, it's not soft at all to the touch. Although, I will say they are comfortable and light weight.

This is my third Classic-Fit Cotton-Blend T-Shirt. I'm wearing size 4 and it's true to size. I love the length, it hits at high hip on me. So easy to wear tucked into shorts or pants. I also wear these to the office underneath a cardigan. Again, I cannot seem to say no to Twilight Rose! I also think Twilight Rose and Dark Oxide look beautiful together.

I also ordered the Cinchable Waist High-Rise Woven Short 3.5" in size XS to compare. It's a much better fit than size Small, but the waist is a bit tight on me. It also sits higher up on my waist and I don't find the waistband to be very stretchy. I also love Graphite Gray and wish Lululemon would release more bottoms in this color. The inseam is 3.5 inches and found it to be a flattering length. It's not too short and not too long. I think it's the perfect middle ground. The price is steep at $88! Since neither size was perfect, I decided to return both of them.

Last but not least, we also have a guest review from Andrea! Thank you so much for sending in some photos of you wearing the City Adventurer Belt Bag 2.5L. Andrea is 5 feet 3 inches tall.

From Andrea, "The City Adventurer Bag does look a bit big on me (I’m very skinny at 100 lbs), but since I carry a lot of stuff, I find it really handy.

I’ve stuffed the belt bag to its maximum capacity so you can see how it looks when it’s full. Twilight Rose is very pretty in person."

Sigh, it looks wonderful in Twilight Rose, doesn't it? I do think the City Adventurer Belt Bag would overwhelm a petite frame like myself, but if you are on the taller side of petite, it may work for you. It looks like it can fit quite a bit and that would be handy if you carry a lot of things. That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. 😊

  1. Hi Leslie,
    Wish I were 5'4" but I'm actually only close to 5'3"! :D

Thank you for the fit review on Wide-Sleeve Gathered Hem T-Shirt. It looks very cute on you but I'm afraid it will be too short on me, and I don't like showing skin LOL. I wish LLL releases as many pants in 7/8 length as its cropped tops/hoodies/sweatshirts! Some pants have cropped versions but they are a weird length on me and I can't wear them as pants. Maybe it's time LLL brought the Asian fit to North America!

I love Graphite Grey too and would love a pair of 7/8 mid rise pants in that color (On The Fly Pant 7/8? :DDDD)

Happy tv watching and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hi Andrea! Ahhh thanks, I am going to correct it in the post. I would take anything over 5 feet. lol

I thought Asian fit was coming to NA this year. Very disappointing it is taking so long.

  2. Thanks for the fit reviews! I really wanted the shorts to work for me but had the same issues as you. I'd love to see more mid-rise bottoms...and some cut more squarely! I don't have an hourglass figure and often find the waist/hip ratios to make neither a size up/down work.

    1. Hi LZ- I'm pretty bummed about the shorts too. If they would just make the waistband more stretchy, it could have worked for us too!

  3. Those woven shorts are ok and I prefer Softstreme HR shorts! I have a lemon sorbet pair in a size 2 that fit but I would prefer them to be looser. I am debating on buying a new pair in a size up

    1. Hi Janessa, I love the Softstreme HR Shorts too. I would totally buy another pair, but waiting for a color I really want. I also sized up and took a 6 in them.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in.   Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC. I'm already thinking about all the dim sum I'm going to cram in the 10 days I'm there! 😆  Today I have a review of the new  Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap  compared to the original  Everywhere Belt Bag  that is slowly being phased out. 😢  **** Update - The original Everywhere Belt Bag has been phased out completely.
