Fit Review Friday! Athleta In Motion Seamless Tank, Effortless Tank and Semi-Annual Sale Starts Today!

Happy Friday! I'm SO ready for the long weekend, I hope everyone has a safe Fourth of July! I am still exhausted from going to three concerts in five days. 😅 It's been a hectic week. I got to see my favorite band in the whole world play twice. If you're a Cure fan, let me know! I am as passionate about their music as I am with handbags. In other news, Athleta's Semi-Annual Sale started today! In today's post I'll be sharing a couple of tanks I tried on at the store and what my picks from the sale are.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS/XXS in Athleta tops. I'm also a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This pretty tank super comfortable and the fabric reminds me of a thicker, softer Lululemon Swiftly. I'm wearing size XS and it's a near perfect fit. It's slightly long on my torso but it's super comfortable. The grippy band around the hem keeps the tank from riding up. The open hole stitch work makes this sweat wicking and great for workouts. Damask Mauve is super pretty and right up my alley. This tank comes in a ton of colors and it's currently on sale! If you're in the market for a new tank, this one is worth trying.

The Effortless Tank is a cute summery top to wear on weekends or for light workouts. Coastline Blue is a great neutral gray/blue shade. I'm wearing size XXS, but the armholes are on the tighter side so I would actually prefer size XS. The fabric is a cotton-blend that feels soft and smooth. The length is slighter shorter in the front and longer in the back for more coverage. This top would look great with shorts and wide leg crops.

Between the two tanks I tried on, I liked the In Motion Seamless Tank more. It's a better fit and I like being able to workout and wear it casually. The best of both worlds. I'm super pooped, so I am going to sign off and wish you all an amazing weekend! 😊

Happy Shopping!

(I may pick up another one of these wraps, they're great for summer.)

(Such a great price! I love mine.)

(Still a bit pricey, but I have been wearing mine to the office and it's so soft and comfy.)

  1. hi Leslie! Thanks for another great review! I love both tanks on you! The lengths are petite friendly and the arm holes are not too revealing. Have a great long weekend!

  2. Thanks for the fit review, Leslie! I've been thinking of getting something in Coastal Blue but not sure if it is more blue or grey. The pictures can be quite deceiving and I wonder how the color looks in person.

    Thanks,
    Andrea

    1. Coastline Blue I mean. :)

    2. Hi Andrea, I'd say it's a pretty good mix of both, but if I had to choose, it's probably slightly more blue than gray. Hope that helps!

  3. Hi Leslie! Are those the wide-leg lulu pants you reviewed recently that you're wearing with the tops?

    1. Hi Mockginger! They're Athleta actually. I have fit reviews for them. They're very thin and great for summer temperatures.

    2. The ones I'm wearing at the Brooklyn Wide Leg Crops. The Avenue ones are very similar. So close that I didn't keep them!

  4. A lot of Athleta pieces catch my eye but I have to try them in store first. Their sizing is all over the place for me! I enjoy your Athleta reviews! My mom got one of the joggers you love and raved about (forgot the name but it starts with an F I think....) and she loves it too!

    1. Hi Janessa! I think tomorrow they're having an additional discounts on top of the sale prices. I am going to buy a couple of things then. I think your mom might have bought the Farallon joggers? That's so awesome she loves them too!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
