Fit Review Friday! Allbirds Risers & Sugar Sliders

Happy June! I can't believe 2023 is nearly halfway over. I'm back in Atlanta and so happy to be home. I loved seeing my family especially my grandma. I'll have a New York post coming up soon. Today, I have an Allbirds fit review of their new Risers and my summer favorite - Sugar Sliders (on sale).

For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds Tree Dasher 2 and Tree Dasher Relay.

I've partnered up with Allbirds! Super excited to share my personal link. Click on my link for a 15% off. Or use my Code PETITEIMPACT15

I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds and in most other sneakers. For the Risers, I sized up to a 6 and it was a near perfect fit. It's just slightly too long, but they still fit well with socks. The width was perfect and they are very comfortable. These are great for everyday walking and exploring.

Ash is like, "Is that another pair?!"

The Risers are made of 100% organic cotton, lyocell and wool on the outside. The inside heel is also lined with wool making it feel extra cozy. The midsole is made of Sweetfoam, the outsole is made of natural rubber. The toe box and heel have sharp angles making this shoe look clunkier than what I'm used to.

Aptly named as the Risers, the sole is very cushion-y and give a bit of height to my short legs which is a plus. The bottom of the shoe has a bit of grip.

The laces are thick and wide.

Not too crazy about the design on the back of the shoe, it's a little too angular for my tastes. In the end, I decided to return these. I have relatively small feet and these made my feet look bulky with the wide angles.

Next up, we have one of my favorites - Sugar Sliders! This is my second pair. I purchased a pair in white last year at full price. I could not pass these up for $24! I highly recommend getting a pair. They're so comfortable and great for going to the pool, quick summer errand, or even getting a pair as house slippers.

Flash is too cute, I just want to boop his nose!

The adjustable velcro strap is great to get the fit just right. These feel super bouncy and plush and the little nubs massage the bottoms of your feet with every step. The soles are very grippy.

What I love most is that these are made with sugarcane! All four colors are on sale for $24. Probably the best summer purchase for your feet. I'm not even kidding. They do run large, so I would suggest sizing down. I take these in a size 5 and they're still a little roomy. That's it for me, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

 WMTM Update!

(I am really tempted to get a pair of these!)

  1. Definitely buy the strong feel training shoes. I own 4 pairs. All used only for lifting days. Stable and stiff soles yet supportive. I have high arch and these feel really good. No more Nike Metcon for me.

  2. Thanks for the review on the Tree Risers. I think they're the first pair of Allbirds that I openly dislike, lol. Aesthetically, they're not the best, in my opinion.

You really should grab those StrongFeel shoes. I have three pairs now and they've become the workout shoes I grab the most. As the other commenter said, they're great for lifting. I even use mine for cardio, although they're not very bouncy. Plus, that markdown price is great!

    1. Hi Lola! Yeah, I don't know what they were thinking with the boxy heel, plus they made my feet look wide and bulky. Might be more pleasing on a bigger foot? I am not sure.

I just placed my order for the Strongfeel shoes! Couldn't pass it up for the price. =)

  3. I wear my sugar slider often and they're worth it! They're still squishy a year (ish) later and I wear them in the backyard or sometime quick errands. I maybe use them once a month if that to actually leave the house. I stick to sneakers usually.

    1. Hi Janessa! I just got my black pair and will be using those for outside and my white pair for indoors. Definitely worth the sale price and then some!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
