Fit Review! Anthropologie Maeve Seahorse Cardigan Sweater

How does the weekend always go by so fast? Well, last weekend I went to Avalon and stopped by Anthropologie. For those who don't know, I used to LOVE shopping at Anthro before I found Lululemon. Around 2014-2015 is when my love for Anthro slowly switched over to Lulu. Walking into Anthro, I was mostly disappointed by their offerings on display. But then this beautiful cardigan caught my eye. I pretty much knew I had to have it. I took some photos in the fitting room, but it didn't do this piece any justice. I brought it home and took some photos where I could show it off properly.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS/PXS in Anthropologie and size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This Seahorse Cardigan is just adorable. I love the navy/white nautical theme which is perfect for a summer night out at the beach. I'm wearing size XS and it fits slightly oversized but not too much. I do have the sleeves cuffed once and I quite like the look. Interestingly enough, this cardigan also comes in petite sizes. I'm sure the petite size would have been more tailored to my body, but I like the slightly slouchy vibe of the XS. You probably can't go wrong either way!

I love the white trim along the pocket, sleeves and hem. It's a cute whimsical sweater. The cardigan is medium heavy knit. It's not as soft as it looks, and it has a slight texture. I love wearing it over my sleeveless button down. I cannot wait to wear this out! It is sure to get a lot of comments and compliments.

I am just so shocked I found this sweater among a sea of frills and colors that is so not my color palette. 😅 I seriously thought I was going to walk out empty handed.

So not my style! 😆

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic start to a brand new week! It's also the last week of June. Let's make the best of it!

  1. cute cardi! I see it comes in petite online. do you think that would have been a better option? Leslie, I know you're not into dresses but can you possibly do a fit review on the BR Cruz linen maxi shirt dress? and maybe the colette linen mini dress and the mari poplin mini dress. they have some nice linen shirts as well. I'm just waiting for a sale to happen. I'm loving their linen line. ... Cindy

    1. Hi Cindy! I think if you're smaller than me, petite may be a good option. I'm happy with my regular XS though. I think it's personal preference. This cardi is very forgiving!

I took a look at the BR Linen line. Most are not really my style, but I'll see if there's something that catches my eye.

  2. This is so cute! I used to be really into retro/nautical pieces but haven't had much need to add more to my wfh/work out/rarely go out wardrobe. Anthro usually doesn't have anything my style, but maybe I need to peruse again.

    1. Hi LZ! Thanks! Anthro really didn't have anything else I wanted. A lot of it wasn't my style at all.

  3. What a cute cardigan! I used to love collecting unique pieces from Anthro but I've gotten more plain with my pieces I buy since I reach for my basics the most. I still admire unique beautiful pieces like this though.

    1. Hi Janessa! Wish I had your self control. I do love unique pieces and this one just called to me. I think the last time I bought something from Anthro must have been back in 2017!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
