Fit Review Friday! Allbirds SuperLight Trainers Plus HUGE Allbirds Sale!

Happy Friday! I wanted to try Allbirds newest shoe - SuperLight Trainers since they're advertising them as  one of their lightest and lowest carbon footprints to date.

For reference I usually wear size 5.5 in Allbirds Tree Dashers and Tree Flyers. For this shoe, I sized down to a size 5. They run half a size large.

I've partnered up with Allbirds! Super excited to share my personal link. Click on my link for a 15% off. Or use my Code PETITEIMPACT15

Fit- I found these to run about half a size large. For this shoe, I sized down to a size 5. I was swimming in the size 6. The size 5 turned out to be a perfect fit. I could not believe how light these felt on my feet. They literally felt like I wasn't wearing anything on my feet. I was very impressed. Of course I had to weigh them.

For size 5, it clocked in at 3.8oz in case you can't see it on the scale. Flash and Simi couldn't believe it either! 🙀

Let's take a closer look at the details. The body of the shoe is super breathable and feels a little rough on the outside. If I had to describe it, I would say it feels like heavy duty mesh. The inside of the shoe has soft lining. The laces are made of recycled plastic bottles, but they do come undone easily, I had to double knot them.

The tongue is not a separate piece but rather it is part of the shoe and connected on one side. It's a very clever design. The midsole is fairly thick and I found the shoe to be very minimal in padding and support. However, as this is a training shoe and made for HIIT workouts, bodyweight exercises and home workouts, this makes sense. It's not meant for walking and it wouldn't be a comfortable shoe for walking.

Inside of the heel is lined with recycled padding for comfort. Apparently the color may vary from shoe to shoe. The shoe I received has yellow and red lining along the heel.

Overall, this seems to be a high quality training shoe. It did not feel flimsy even though it's as light as air. In the end, I decided I didn't need another pair of trainers, since I am still very happy with my APL TechLoom Bliss shoe. One day, I would like to get a pair of Lululemon's Strongfeel Training Shoe though.

That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and check out the Allbirds sale!

  1. The new Superlight Trainers look kind of interesting, but if you say they run big, I'm sized out. Too bad, because I really like minimalist, light weight footwear.

I'm really trying not to indulge in the Allbirds sale, but there are a few pairs calling my name. I really don't "need" any more shoes....but that Lux Purple Tree Dasher and the Bloom Pink Tree Runner are so pretty!

    1. Hi Lola! It's rare for Allbirds to run big. I have only found that to be true for a couple of styles.

LOL, the Lux Purple Tree Dashers were in my cart too. I ended up getting a pair of the Sugar Sliders in black and Tree Breezers in pink!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
