Fit Request Friday! Athleta Arrival Jacket & Memorial Day Event! Up to 60% Off + Extra 30% Off Sale

Happy Friday! I received a fit request for the Arrival Jacket a little while ago, apologies for taking a while to get the review up. The package was stuck for a week in Illinois! There's also an amazing Athleta sale happening this weekend. I will post my picks from the sale after the review. In other news, I'm in New York at the moment, so expect to see a food post soon! 😅

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

also wearing Transcend Stash Straight Leg Pant (on sale!)
(I recommend sizing up, they run small.)

I'm wearing size Petite XS and it does run a little large, the sleeves are very long on me. It's a little boxy and slightly oversized. The length hits at my hip and it's very generous in the body. I could easily layer underneath this jacket without any issues.

I am loving all the details on this jacket, especially the slight ruching along the back of the sleeves. The fabric has a slightly crinkled texture and it's also a little bit shiny. It definitely has a sheen to it. This is a lightweight jacket that's perfect for spring and summer nights. It's super soft to touch.

I also love the double layered look in the back with an adjustable bungie cord to customize the fit and look.

The color Dark Adonis blue is very vibrant. It's a combination of blue and purple, but more on the purple side. The below photo is a good example of the jacket's sheen.

The inside has a thin mesh lining. The color is really pretty, just not for me. This jacket is only available in two colors - Dark Adonis Blue and black. Between the two colors, I would probably go for black, but neither color really appeals to me. I am hoping Athleta will release more colors in this jacket because I really do love all the amazing details! The price is $149, which is a little steep but Athleta usually has decent sales and coupons and I think this jacket is worth $100-$125 range. This jacket gets a thumbs up from me, but I'm waiting for a different color.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great weekend! Happy Memorial Day!

  1. Thank you for the review on the Arrival Jacket. I'm glad you noted that it runs large. I think the length of the sleeves would piss me off, LOL. I do love that Dark Adonis Blue though!

Canada had their big Athleta sale last weekend, and I indulged in the Wayfarer Bomber Jacket, and the Air Out Cinch Tee. Hopefully, everything will fit!

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Lola! Yeah the sleeves were pretty ridiculous. I don't mind folding them up though.

Ohhhh let me know how you like everything!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
