Fit Request Friday! Athleta Transcend Skirt and Crossroads Short

Happy Friday! It's super rainy and taking these photos for today's post were a challenge. I had to brighten them up to show detail but I think they turned out well enough. I've got a Lululemon fit request and an Alo Yoga review coming up.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS and Petite 0 in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

I don't normally wear skirts, but I would make an exception for a skort. 😅 I've been curious about the Transcend Skort since I love the Transcend line in general. The fabric is amazingly soft and stretchy. This skort is a nice change from my usual athleisure uniform. The skort adds a little more flare and style for a date night but still manages to be really comfortable. I read a bunch of reviews and decided to go with size XS. I was a little worried since the Transcend line usually runs on the smaller side but the XS is perfect. I would stick to your usual size.

This skort is extremely flattering. The side ruching is very forgiving and the backside accentuates the bum. I haven't been able to workout as intense as I used to because of my ongoing shoulder issue so I was very surprised to find it still looked great from the back. The liner is 4 inches long and very comfortable. The length of the skirt is slightly adjustable, as you can pull it up or down a bit. I prefer the length to hit around my mid-thigh and with my short legs, this is a winner.

This skort is perfect to wear with a boxy crop top. It's high waisted but not uncomfortable because of the waistband. You feel like you're not wearing anything. It's non-constricting but still manages to look great. The only downside is the black does pick up all the dust and cat hair!

Price is $79, a little steep, but if you can get it for 20% of 25% off, I would say it's worth it. This also comes in a really nice Bali Green shade that's also very tempting, but I personally would get the most use out of black.

Hi Flash!

This is a keeper!

The Crossroads Short was a fit request. I went with the Lazurite Blue and it is stunning in person if you love a nice saturated pop of color. The website photos are accurate. These shorts are made of Featherweight stretch and feel silky to the touch. They are super comfortable and airy. These shorts are unlined.

Love the side pockets!

The waistband is stretchy and sits at my belly button. There is an adjustable drawstring at the waist. I would say these fit a smidge large, so if you're in-between sizes, I would size down. The inseam measures 3.5 inches long and they do look a little too long on petite legs. I personally prefer a shorter length. They're also a little too wide in the thigh. Sizing down might be an option since they're unlined. These are currently on sale for $44.99 and if you can find the right fit, I do like how lightweight they feel.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

    1. Hi Blueberries! Me too, if this was a skirt, I wouldn't want to wear it. But a skort? Yes please!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
