Review! Velour Everywhere Belt Bag, Velvet Dust Matching Set ETS Tank & Hotty Hot HR Short Plus Athleta Event!

Happy Friday! We're a few days in to March, which means spring is right around the corner! It'll be shorts weather soon and I'm thinking of picking up a couple more pairs of Hotty Hots before they start selling out in a New York minute.

To recap Frugal February, I almost made it to the end but Velvet Dust made me break my ban. I bought my first matching set (I do have this in black, but it doesn't really count). How do you guys feel about matching sets? Yay or nay? By the way, Velvet Dust is very pretty, it's the perfect mix of pink and purple.

I've been meaning to post this review of the Velour Belt bags a while back, but just never got around to it. Do you feel like Everywhere Belt Bags are not as popular as they were? I actually really liked the velour fabric on these belt bags, and would have kept the black one, but mine arrived with a weird vertical mark on the front of the bag. I ended up returning both of them. I had hoped there would be a pink, but it never happened.

(Green Jasper and Black)

The gold hardware was lovely and made the velour versions extra special and luxe. The velour itself was soooooo soft. I really wish I had kept one of them because I doubt Lululemon will release these again next holiday season with the same softness and quality. The difference in quality from the sherpa belt bags in 2022 and 2021 were huge. The sherpa from 2022 wasn't as soft as the one I had from the previous year.

Smooth zippers.

Smooth fabric on the back. Extended strap.

Interior pockets.

In other news, Athleta is having their 25% off event! Use code MEMBERS. I did place a large order and can't wait to try everything on. I will have fit reviews coming up. That's all I have for you today. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

  2. I like matching set! But usually only bra matches with tank, or tank with jacket. I guess ebb is not as popular now that it's not selling out as quickly...but I still love using mine when I wanna travel light. I have too many already lol

    1. Hi Blueberries! Same, I have enough EBBs to last me a long time. I don't think I'll add anymore. But I do use them on a regular basis, at least a couple times a week.

  3. Velvet Dust is such a pretty color and the matching set is cute on you!

I finally pulled the trigger and got myself an Everywhere Belt Bag 2L in White Opal. It arrived yesterday and while the strap is way longer than I expected and I much prefer the two-buckle design of the original EBB, the size is perfect and not overwhelming on my petite frame. I agree with you that quality seems to deteriorate and even for the EBB, it looks much cheaper with the plastic zipper and the new strap design. So glad I got an original EBB with metal zipper and double buckles.

I was thinking of ordering the Athleta Brooklyn Ankle Pant with the 25% off for a try but it is sold out in all colors except Black and Navy in my size, and I don’t need another pair of black pants. :(

Just curious what Athleta new arrivals are you going to order.

    1. Hi Andrea! It's disappointing the quality keeps going down with the EBBs. Would rather pay a little more for the quality to stay the same. But now I have enough, so really shouldn't be getting more anyway. =D

I would keep checking to see if they restock in your size. I have a bunch of stuff coming. Endless Pant, Transcend Pant, sweater, tanks, sweatshirts, Stellar Crop, it's a lot!

  4. The velour belt bag in Green Jasper looks very nice! I don't usually wear matching sets, except for bra with shirt/tank. I prefer to wear tone-on-tone, like a top in wild indigo and bottom in charged indigo. I looking forward to the fit reviews of your new Athleta haul! Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Karen! I think you asked for a couple of fit requests from Athleta, I have them on the way!

  5. I am interested in ordering HH 4" in Bone but not sure if I should size up to 6. Lately the HHs are cut smaller.

I placed a big Athleta order too. Just received the Brooklyn lined pant (love) and waiting on Seasoft sweatshirt, Trekkie parachute pant (may be too long even in petite), a few swimwear. By the way, 14DAYPASS 20% off stacks if you have their CC.

    Have a great weekend, Leslie!

    1. Hi Wei! The Velvet Dust HH is cut a smidge smaller, but it's not enough for me to size up.

I did see that code for stacking, it's amazing that it works because I have had the card for a million years!

The Brooklyn Lined Pant is amazing, I have two pairs. I have the Seasoft sweatshirt coming too. Let me know how you like the rest of your order!

    2. Velvet Dust is so pretty! I will have to pick up an item in that color one of these days.

I'm looking forward to your Athleta haul review. It sounds like you got a lot of stuff to try :) I couldn't resist the 25% off and ordered the Triumph Hybrid Wide Crop in Bali Green. I'm not usually a green person, but there's something about that color that really appeals to me.

    3. Hi Lola! Some of my Athleta order arrived, so I'll have part 1 up for Friday. I also got one item in Bali Green, it is a pretty color and I'm not a green person either!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
