Fit Request Friday! Warpstreme Zip-Front Jumpsuit, Softstreme Relaxed-Fit T-Shirt, Athleta Elation Pant

Happy Fit Request Friday! I haven't done one of these in a long time and happy to oblige. I was pretty surprised at how fast the Warpstreme jumpsuit sold out on the website. Hopefully Lululemon will restock for those who want to give it a try. I also have the Softstreme Relaxed Fit T-Shirt in Trench and the Elation Pant from Athleta in two spring colors.

For reference I am 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon and size Petite XS in Athleta.

When I placed my order the black color was sold out. A couple of days later, I noticed Army Green had very limited sizes. My first pick would be black, but it's easier to see the details in Army Green. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and it's true to size. It's a zip-front jumpsuit and if you have any shoulder mobility issues it can be a little challenging to put on. I did have to twist around a little bit to pull the shoulder straps up. The torso is fitted and I do love the snatched waist effect without feeling restricted. It's fitted at the hips but roomy in the thigh and bellows out in the legs. The length is just a little too long for me, and I have it cuffed, which actually looks really good with black Dr. Martens boots.

I do have to mention a couple of things I don't want to bring attention to, but there's no avoiding it. 🙈 The darting seams on the front draws the eyes to the nipples. Now that I've said it, you're all gonna go back and look. There's also a weird dimple right above the crotch. 🙈😹 It may be just the one I received, but I can't look past it. The crotch is also really low, which creates extra fabric around the area.

I love the zippered side pockets.

I do think it is flattering from the back. It has very clean lines. From the side profile, the fabric and silhouette reminds me of parachute pants or MC Hammer pants from the mid to late 90s. The 90s are definitely back! It does look very chic and cool with some attitude but it's not my style. I opted to return the jumpsuit.

The fabric is textured and feels similar to some kind of twill blend. The zipper is smooth.

Next up we have the Softstreme Relaxed Fit T-Shirt in Trench. I am wearing my usual size 4 and this is true to size. The neck opening is small, however it doesn't feel restrictive once it's on.

The fit is relaxed and a little bit boxy. The length hits at high hip on my petite frame. I love Softstreme for its fuzzy softness and find the fabric to be smooth to touch and I love the weighty drape. I also like the ribbing detail along the hem. I can't think of anything I don't like about this top! Maybe the price?!
At $78, it's a little steep, so I would purchase this top again but next time I will wait for WMTM. Here's hoping these tops do not become super popular that they sell out!

Trench is a neutral beige that will work with a variety of different colored bottoms. I think it will look great with almost any color. For me, this top is a keeper.

The next fit request is the Elation Pant from Athleta. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like these pants. I was a little hesitant at first because of the pleating on the front, but the fabric and length are perfect for my petite frame and that in the end was the deciding factor for me. I'm wearing size Petite XS and the length measures 24 inches.

also wearing Elation V-Neck Crop Black Size Small

I tried on the Damask Mauve color first and the pleating isn't very flattering. It poofs out a bit near the pockets and lower belly. I also should have steamed these a little better. But the length is pretty much perfect. The waistband is very similar to Align bottoms and the fabric is Powervita which I dare say is just as good or better (considering the quality of Aligns have been on the decline for awhile now) than Nulu.

Fitted through the waist and hip.

In the picture below, I wanted to show how the fabric bunches a bit when you're walking. It would be better if the pocket placement was moved to the front instead of the side. I am exchanging the Damask Mauve for Black because these pants look more flattering in a darker color. They look very nice in Granite Blue (pictures coming up!).

I'm wearing size Petite XS in both colors. I do think these run a little large, so if you're in-between sizes I would suggest sizing down. Here are a couple of shots in Granite Blue.

Do you guys think it looks better in Granite Blue? I have to say these pants are REALLY comfortable. They are the perfect weight for spring. I can't wait to wear them! I think I can also get away with wearing these to the office with an elevated top. They can be dressed up or down. Let me know what you think! I had a lot of fun with these fit requests, keep them coming! That's it for me, hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

  1. Thanks for another great review, Leslie! I usually stay away from pants with pleats but the Elation Pant does look flattering on you especially in Granite Blue! Damask Mauve is a pretty color though.

I've been eyeing LLL's Stretch High Rise Pant 7/8 Length but hesitate because of the high rise. When are they going to bring back the On The Fly Pant 7/8 Length or pants with mid rise?

I've also been checking out Athleta's Brooklyn Jogger and your fit review on the pant. Looks amazing on you but size 00P might be too short on me. :( I want something that fits like the On the Fly Pant. Any suggestions?

    1. Hi Andrea! I would still give the Brooklyn Ankle Pant a try in 00 Petite and 00 Regular if you're okay with returning. The last time I ordered a pair of Brooklyn Ankle Pant in Dusk Violet in my usual 0P size, the length was too long. Not sure if it was a one-off or if Athleta updated the fit. I do plan on trying another pair in the Damask Mauve in 0P when Frugal February is over to confirm which is the case. I am hoping they did not update the fit because then I am out of luck, lol!

The Brooklyn Heights Pant might be worth looking into if you're worried about the length on the Brooklyn Ankle Pant. The length for the Brooklyn Heights Pant in petite sizes I am guessing is 28.5 inches. Definitely too long for me.

    2. Thanks, Leslie. 28.5” will definitely be too long for me too lol. I might order the Brooklyn lined and unlined versions for a try.

      Have a nice weekend!

  2. Thank you for the fit review of the jumpsuit, Leslie! The more I try mine on, the more I like it. I'm still not 100% sure how to style it, but I'm thinking it will look best with a pair of wedges or heels to help give my legs some length. It hits at the bottom of my calf.

The Softstreme SS is cute! I'd like to see a more fitted LS in Softstreme. I'm getting tired boxy fits but do love the material.

    Have a nice weekend! :)

    1. Hi LZ! Oh, heels would elevate the look!

I can see that, a more fitted top would be different, I think most of the styles offered in Softstreme are boxy or oversized. I have that one top that's fitted at the waist that I really like - Softstreme Ribbed Hem Pullover.

  3. hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! The Elation Pant in Granite Blue looks good on you! I agree that the pleats are less obvious in the darker colour. Would you say that the waist band fits about the same as the Studio joggers? If it is then I may be able to size down in the Elation pants. I prefer the Studio joggers in one size down. Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Karen! I do think it's about the same as the Studio Joggers. The only thing is the fabric is different, Powervita is closer to Align fabric so it's not as stretchy as the Studio fabric. In case it helps I wear a size 4 in Aligns, these are probably closer to a size 5 if they made in-between sizes. It's not enough for me to size down because I think it would be too tight in the hips for me. But the waist is a size 5 in Align bottoms I would say.

    2. Thanks, Leslie! That's helpful. I may be able to get away with one size down because I don't have much hips. Hopefully there will be a good promo after frugal February. Have a great weekend!

    3. Leslie certainly bronzed green bodysuit would look perfect color, being very confident women.
Seen female recently wearing rare bronzed green align bodysuit in the gym. Could not help myself from gazing upon her how lovely fresh outfit appeared. Reveals a lot with detail shape and curves of the body. One difficult outfits to wear for any woman but have outmost confidence Leslie can wear it proudly and confidently.

  5. I think the elation pants in blue looks flattering on you! Lol at your comment on the darting seam of the jumpsuit 🤣 Definitely a return if it doesn't fit perfectly! Not personally a jumpsuit person but looks like a fun piece to try

    1. Hi Blueberries! The jumpsuit is a fun piece for sure. But the Elation pants is more my style! It's like wearing comfy pajama pants.

  6. Thanks for the fun fit reviews! The jumpsuit is certainly interesting. You are right: as soon as I read your comments about the seams, I totally scrolled back to look, lol!

The Elation pants look quite nice, but I agree, they're more flattering in the blue. I'm not usually much of a blue person, but I really like that shade!

And the Softstreme top is great. I purchased it in black a while back, and I wear it often. I hope they release it in some more colors.

If you're up for it, I'd love to see some more Athleta fit reviews. I'd be interested to see what you think of the Stellar Wide Crop, the Triumph Hybrid Wide Crop, and/or the With Ease Tee. Athleta has way more fun spring stuff than Lululemon right now, in my opinion.

    1. Hi Lola! Hahahah I knew that would happen! =D It just makes me laugh.

Ohhh i would have definitely preferred black over Trench, but black is always the first to sell out I think. I want to see more colors too.

I added all three to my cart. I'm really into Athleta's new arrivals. Love the colors, the styles, I'm very excited to try it all!

    2. Thanks so much! I look forward to the reviews. I agree with you - the Athleta new arrivals are really tempting. I want everything :)

  7. The jumpsuit looks like you're going into the jungle or some badass adventure. I think it looks really cool but isn't a piece that'll get a ton of wear unless you work with safari animals haha. Finally a basic softstreme tee. I like it on you!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in.   Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC.
