Review! Polène Mini Numéro Neuf Blush

Happy Friday! Today, I have a Polène review. I've been curious about their bags for the last couple of years, but never pulled the trigger until I saw the mini Neuf in this gorgeous rose/blush color.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

Also wearing Boden Cashmere Cardigan Size 4
Anthropologie Pant (old)

Polène bags have gained popularity over the years and have been spotted in Netflix's popular show - Emily in Paris. They're known for their high quality purses that are hand crafted in Spain. The Numéro Neuf caught my eye because of the cute dumpling shape. The bag can be worn a few ways and I really enjoy carrying it by the handle. The handle drop is small and it just fits over my wrist with a sweater on. It will be more of a challenge with a coat or jacket which is something to keep in mind.

Dimensions - 9" (L) x 5.25" (H)  x 5.5" (W)

Polène uses full-grain textured calf leather for most of their bags. The leather looks softer than it actually is. It's a very sturdy and structured bag and holds its shape. The bag is designed in a drape form which makes it very unique. It reminds me of a dumpling the way the corners are pinched at the bottom and top of the bag. I love the folds along the sides and handle is quite soft and easy on the hands when carrying it.

Birds eye view of the handles.

Option to attach a strap.

Very discreet Polène logo on the side of the bag in gold lettering.

Magnetic snap closure.

The opening of the bag is small, but it can still fit your everyday essentials and then some. I would caution from over stuffing the bag, especially if you're planning on using it with the crossbody strap because the strap is on the narrow side. If you're going to be walking a lot, it will feel like a brick after a while. I will most likely be carrying it by the handle and using the crossbody only when necessary.

Inside of the bag is lined with cotton twill fabric. It feels soft and is high quality. There is only one main compartment for your things without any slip pockets.

What fits inside the Mini Neuf - more details in my Youtube video.

The strap is adjustable and I have it on the second to shortest setting and it hits at the hip. It's very easy to remove the strap and to put it back on. The size of the bag is perfect for my petite frame, and I love the minimalist design. The color Blush is a deep mauve and it works well with neutral color outfits.

Let's talk about the price. Recently there was a price hike and this bag went from $390 to $420, which isn't a huge jump in my opinion. I think for the price at $420, this bag is still worth the money. The craftsmanship, the design, and quality of the bag gets high marks from me. If this came from a premier designer, I can easily see a brand like Fendi charging $2000 for something similar. Shipping from Spain costs $20 via DHL. Shipping is super fast, I received mine within a handful of days. If the bag doesn't work out, you are responsible for the shipping going back. I am really happy with my first Polène bag and look forward to using this for years to come.

Do you have a Polène bag? If so, which one? I love my mini Neuf and would highly recommend it. That's it for me today and hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I think this will be my next Polène bag!

  1. Omg this bag is beautiful and so cute and the perfect size for me. I don't need or use handbags... I have a few from my mom and don't use them. I throw my bags on the floor so I couldn't use something this nice

    1. Hahaha! Handbags are my weakness. It's my favorite thing to shop for. I'm always browsing the secondhand sites for vintage purses. I do it everyday!

  2. I’m heading to Paris in April and I’m pretty sure my luxury bag purchase while I’m there will be from Poléne. I’m looking at the number one, I just can’t decide which size! I love them all. This little bag is gorgeous, great choice. Can’t wait to go into a store and drool over all of them.

    1. Hi Shannon! ohhh I'm jealous. I don't have a store near me. I did hear they opened up a shop in New York, so I may try and visit next time I'm there. If you do end up buying one, report back!

  3. I'm usually not one for luxury bags - I like my bags to be more utilitarian and made of fabrics that I don't care about because I'm a klutz - but I'm kind of in love with that bag! I've since checked out the website, and I'm very intrigued! I think I might have to go on a no-buy February (and March!) and try to save up for one. I can't even decide which color I like best; they're all gorgeous!

    1. Hi Lola! I'll be participating in my usual Frugal February, so we'll be on a no-buy together. My second favorite color is probably Cognac. I also really like Taupe, Chalk, and Dune. I don't think you can really go wrong with any color!

  4. Hi Leslie! Have you tried the LLL relaxed fit softstreme t shirt?

  6. It suits you!
I am as tall as you and I am thinking of buying one as well.
Would you think beige is a good color if my wardrobe mostly have navy and earth tone clothes ?

    1. Hi Vicky! Yes, I think a beige color would look great with navy. It's a good neutral that will also work with earth tone colors. It's a good size without being too big or too small.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
