Lunar New year is a week away and these accessories arrived just in time. It's the year of the Rabbit and I have a soft spot for these cute little bunnies because my brother and husband are both rabbits.
I wanted to see both Everywhere Belt Bags in person. The fleece is a bit rough and not quite as soft I thought it would be. The bunnies look like they are embroidered on, but my guess is they are patches that are placed onto the bag. The illustrations are cute and the white fleece gives them their fur appearance.
The back of the bag is smooth White Opal fabric.
The hardware is silver although I would have preferred pale gold hardware.
The zipper is metal, which is fine, but it's not quite as smooth as I'd like. The teeth could use a coating of wax. The inside of the bag has the same options as the regular Everywhere Belt Bag.
The rubber logo tag on the side is mostly hidden by the fleece, which is fine in my opinion. There's no need for that logo, seriously! It's already on the metal zipper pull. The price is $64 which I think is a bit steep, especially for the quality.
I think this take on camo print is pretty clever. There's a few silhouettes of bunnies in various poses in a few different shades of red creating a very special camo print for the year of the rabbit. The hardware is a pale gold which looks fantastic against red. It's one of my favorite combinations even though I'm not a red person. I rarely wear red, but I break out my red items for special occasions.
The zipper is plastic, but the zipper feels very smooth and easy to zip open and close. I would have preferred it to have the gold colored zipper to match the rest of the hardware on the bag. The contrast would have made the bag just that much more special.
The back of the bag has the Rabbit All Over Print.
Overall, both bags are very nice and if you're a collector of EBBs, these two would make lovely additions. However, if you're debating between keeping one or the other, my pick goes to the Rabbit All Over Print just because the fleece bag can only be worn during the winter months, whereas the all over print can be worn for the entire year. Plus the fleece version costs $64 vs $38 for the Rabbit All Over Print. I also picked up the New Year Small Towel.
This is my first Lululemon towel and I think the Lunar Phase print is very pretty. It's special enough for me to justify handing over $22 for it. The measurements are 26 inches by 16 inches and it's the perfect size for workouts on the mat or to the gym. The fabric is absorbent microfiber. It feels very soft. Thanks for the review! I picked up the dark red ebb last year and I was satisfied. No need for this year's version! I really wish they'd make a LNY swiftly tank. They have the dark red with silver logo only... Wish it has a gold logo! Other than pink, red, cream, white and black, what color (of a jacket) would go with a red tank? I don't know which nulu cropped define I should wear with it!😅

ReplyDeleteNot a red person but have to admit that the New Year Everywhere Belt Bag Rabbit All Over is nice. Like you said the take on camo print is clever. I believe it was priced at CAD68 (US$34 would be a steal!) and that’s why I commented on your upload post that the price was ridiculous. Anyhow, it’s sold out on the Canadian site. :)

Hi Andrea! Oh wow I wonder why there's such a huge price difference between US and Canada for the Rabbit All Over Print EBB. Makes no sense. But apparently, it's not high enough if it is sold out! Craziness.

I'm leaning towards keeping the rabbit camo EBB. Def returning the fleece. I just took a look at the Tory Burch rabbit items. Very cute! I love the trainers and the cardigan. What did you end up getting?
DeleteBoth bags are really cute, but I prefer the camo for sure. I agree that it's a very clever print. If I wore red, I would have gone a bit crazy with the launch, but it just doesn't suit my skin tone.

DeleteThank you for the review Leslie! I bought the Rabbit Camo EBB bag. It is smaller than my other EBBs in height and depth :(. You can see the difference in height between the fleece and the rabbit camo in your first photo. I don't wear much red so I am leaning toward returning it.

Hi Wei! I don't think it's fair to compare the fleece with a regular fabric EBB. The fleece makes it look bigger with the extra fluff. I did compare the Rabbit Camo with one my White Opal EBB and it's the same size. Maybe you got one that is just an anomaly?
DeleteThanks for another great review. I agree that the bunny-camo is the better looking bag of the two. I think the plush one is just a little too "sweet" for my taste, but I think it's great that they tried something different!

Hi Lola! Lunar Phase is really pretty, that's why I got it in the small towel. I wouldn't wear it as a piece of clothing, but in a small accessory I can definitely do.
