Review! APL TechLoom Bliss Rose Dust Nude

Hope everyone had a great weekend! My husband and I saw Thor : Love and Thunder and really liked it, but my favorite is still Ragnarok. I love that Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi have a great sense of humor and they make these movies a lot of fun to watch. Plus, they bring back Natalie Portman! Have you seen her arms?! They look fantastic and she's got shoulder caps. I am impressed! Hashtag Goals!

Today, I have a review of Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL) TechLoom Bliss in Rose Dust/Nude for review. My usual Allbirds size is 5.5. For APL it's also size 5.5.

Flash of course, has to investigate!

I have been looking at these running shoes for a few years. I always held off because of the steep price ($120). My curiosity won and I finally took the plunge. This is a very lightweight running shoe, clocking in at 6.1 oz for size 5.5. I love the seamless design and there are no laces to deal with, which makes it super easy to slip-on and off. The fabric is knit with a satin-y elastic band to keep your feet feeling secure. I purchased these back in March and I wanted to test them out fully before writing up my review. Since I have fairly small feet, I also purchased these in Youth size 4. I found the Youth size to have a wider fit, and they also did not look as sleek as the women's version. I should have taken a photo of the youth's shoe to show a comparison, but they pretty much look like the stock photo.

However, the price difference is crazy, the youth's cost $119, whereas the women's version is $220. If the slight visual difference isn't a big deal for you, it may be worth trying out if you have small feet. Just remember the youth's version has a wider fit. It was a bit too roomy for me. As for sizing, the 5.5 has a snug but comfortable fit. I also tried the same style shoe in a different colors, and found they vary in width. It's very frustrating that sizing is not the same across the board. I went through about 5 different pairs before I settled on the Rose Dust/Nude that fit me the best. The good news is I took advantage of the free shipping and free returns policy.

For $220, the quality is excellent. I love the details of this sleek looking shoe. The color is what really stood out to me. I love pink and the shiny elastic band is the perfect complement. So far they have held up wonderfully. I've used them for casual walking, running on the treadmill, and weight training. They are great for casual walking. When I tried them for a few runs, I found there isn't much support which is interesting because this is supposed to be a running shoe. However, for weight training, they feel very stable and flat, which is perfect. For running I still prefer my Allbirds Tree Dashers and Tree Flyers.

Love the streamlined look!

Final verdict? These are great training shoes and if you're heading out for quick errands or for casual walking I grab these because they are so easy to slip-on and off. The only flaw is how pricey they are and finding the perfect fit can be a little tricky. That said, I am very happy with these!

I love that they match my Caraa Studio Bag
(Review coming soon- spoiler alert, I love it!)

Do you have a pair of APLs? If so, let me know how you like them! I also have a pair of Streamline Cherry Blossom running shoes I am still testing out. I want to give it a few more runs before I write up my review. That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful start of another new week.

  1. Beautiful shoes! In your opinion, can these be used as court shoes. Like for Pickleball?

    1. Hi there, I have never played Pickleball, I actually looked it up to see how it's played and it looks like something along the lines of tennis and ping pong. I think they could work for that, I don't see why not. Personally I just wouldn't use them for running. HTH!

  2. APLs are definitely my favorite. Whenever I wear this style I always get a compliment. I love sneakers that don’t have laces!

    1. Hi there, I love lace-less sneakers! My favorites are Allbirds Tree Dasher Relays. I have a third pair coming. They're not as pricey as APLs either so that's a plus.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
