Happy Friday! I am SO ready for the weekend! We are getting a new fridge delivered on Monday, so my husband says we have to do some work in the kitchen to prep for the fridge. Our old fridge was only five years old but the compressor broke and we were quoted $1000 just in parts to have it repaired. 😩 We opted to get a new fridge instead. Moving on, today I have another fit request Friday!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
I loved my first Softstreme Dropped Wrap in Silver Blue so much, I decided to get it in a second color. I have been wearing it to the office about once a week since I bought it. It's super comfy and perfect for the air conditioned office. I love Softstreme and have been toying with the idea of creating a wardrobe that's made of only Softstreme clothing. 😆 It would seriously be a dream come true. Athleta just released a few more items in their Seasoft fabric, which is almost an exact dupe of Softstreme and I am totally going to order them for a fit review once I get my hands on a 20% off coupon. If you want to a sneak peak, it's their Seasoft Wide Crop Pant, Seasoft Tank Dress, and Seasoft Tank Sweatshirt. I'm obsessed!
I'm wearing my usual size 4 and I like the relaxed fit. You can totally size down if you want to in this wrap. The sleeves do give off a slight bat wing vibe, but it's not really noticeable unless you're flapping your arms around. 😆 The only thing I would change about this wrap is to add pockets and a lower price tag!
Next up, we have a fit request from Andrea! We are both huge fans of On the Fly Pants (discontinued) and Andrea was curious to know if the Stretch High-Rise Pant 7/8 Length would be a good replacement. Let's find out!
I'm wearing my usual size 4 and how amazing is Ancient Copper? I was super surprised at how much I like Ancient Copper in person. The color is a soft red/orange that could work as a three season piece. Ancient Copper pairs nicely with my Pink Clay Classic-Fit Cotton-Blend T-Shirt, but it was in the wash when I took these photos. The waistband is on the tight side, the elastic isn't very stretchy. The waist is high-rise which isn't my first choice. I prefer mid-rise pants. I noticed that if you have any sort of lower belly (which I do!) it accentuates it. It's like the opposite of a muffin top. 😅 It's not as apparent in these photos, but I did take a video of the outfit and you can definitely tell in the video. I'll be posting it in my stories and will save it in the highlights in case you miss it.
The length is very long for a 7/8 pant. The inseam measures 28 inches. For the photos, I folded about three inches underneath so I wouldn't step on the extra fabric. The pant is flattering from the backside and even though the waistband doesn't have much give, I still find this to be true to size. It's more of a personal preference of mine that I don't find high-rise to be comfortable. Overall, it's flattering, just not for me!
Here are some close ups of the high-rise waistband. It definitely covers my belly button completely, and given the not-so-stretchy elastic, I didn't find this to be comfortable. The fabric is Luxtreme which I love, I just wish they would bring back the On The Fly Pant! The crop length was perfect for petites. However, if you love high-rise, give these a try.

I haven't tried the Loungeful Hoodie and am curious about the neck opening too. I can't keep up with the sales there's so many! The softstreme wrap looks great on you! I love ancient copper too and have a lot in that color.
ReplyDeleteHi Janessa! There are a lot of sales happening right now. Nordstrom sale, Athleta is having a really good one with an extra 20% off sale items! It's crazy. I will look to see if there's anything I want that's available in ancient copper. =D

I would try the Loungeful Hoodie at WMTM if I didn't order my third Athleta Retroplush Hoodie yesterday. It's the softest hoodie I've ever worn and price was irresistible at 20% off sale price. Athleta is definitely taking my money from LLL these days.

hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! The Stretch High-Rise Pant 7/8 in Ancient Copper looks good on you! I'm fine with high rise pants if the waistband is very stretchy. Otherwise, they can be uncomfortable if I have to sit for long periods of time. Also, 28" inseam too long for me. I'm happy that my On The Fly pants are holding up well and I don't need replacements anytime soon! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen! Yes the waistband isn't very stretchy on this one, it's pretty tight. OTF Pants were the best! I'm pretty happy with Brooklyn Ankle Pant from Athleta. I have another color on the way! Just ordered one in Dust Violet!
DeleteThanks for the review of the pants! I, too, miss the OTF line and wish it would make a return. After deciding the Keep Moving Pant wouldn't work for me, I assumed the same for the Stretch HR version. The people want mid-rise!

DeleteI love the Loungeful hoodies/sweats! Lighter than the All Yours collection but just as plush, fleecey and warm, not too long, perfect hip length. I have the Cropped Loungeful Hoodie in my TTS 4 and I’d say the neck opening fits normal. Not as tight as an All Yours Hoodie in size 4. I sized up in the Loungeful Hoodie to a 6 (personal preference, I like my full length hoodies roomier, could have definitely done a size 4 too!) and it fits comfy, a bit boxier, no issues with neck opening :). I picked up the denim blue colour and its really nice in person!
