Fit Review Friday! Hotty Hot HR Short 2.5", Classic-Fit Cotton-Blend T-Shirt, Vuori Performance Joggers
Happy Friday! It is SUPER hot in Atlanta right now. It currently feels like 100 degrees. Next week we have a couple of days where it will be over 100 degrees and I am seriously dreading having to leave the house. 😓 I can't wait for fall! 😆 How is the weather where you are?
Today's post isn't so much a fit review, since all of these items I have reviewed before, but they are my latest purchases.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
I just wanted to show a couple of photos of my newest Hotty Hot HR Short 2.5" in Electric Turquoise. I'm wearing my usual size 4. Has anyone noticed that they are starting to run a smidge smaller than usual? I feel like these are definitely a little tighter in the waist. They still fit, but it's worth pointing out. I am however very pleased with the color. I heard some people were disappointed with Electric Turquoise, complaining it wasn't as bright as the photos on the website. But it is everything I hoped for! I personally love it.

I'll start with Vuori's Performance Joggers. I lost count with how many pairs of Performance Joggers I now own. I think I'm up to nine? Apologies for sounding like a broken record at this point, but if you haven't tried these yet, you're totally missing out. It's a shame I can't wear these to the office. 😂
I'm wearing my usual size XS in Vuori and they fit perfectly. I've tried these in XXS, but I prefer the extra room to be honest. If I want to look a little bit more put together, the XXS looks slightly more fitted around the leg. Nowadays, I'm all about being comfortable.
Next, we have the Classic-Fit Cotton-Blend T-Shirt in Pink Clay. I have this in Silver Blue and love it so much, I decided I had to have it in Pink Clay. It's a great everyday t-shirt. I like to size up for an effortless casual look.
The fabric isn't super soft, it almost has a linen feel to it. It's light to medium weight and not too thin. I think it will be a staple in my wardrobe.
Last but not least, I was so happy to see a few new colors drop for Fringe Fighters. I'm even more happy that they're Diamond Dye! These are my absolute favorite headbands ever. I hope Lululemon never discontinues these. They are reversible and oh so soft.

Leslie you outdone yourself the pink clay colour is perfect compliment paired together with the Hotty Hot HR Shorts in electric turquoise. Maybe waistband will lose it's elasticity after few wash cycles being more comfortable. Applying Sunscreen or oils on your tummy often deteriorate waistbands. Lululemon might thought to counter the effects to tighten the waistband slightly for longevity. Seen this happen with tracker shorts hero blue versus my regal plum then again the version maybe different. So to HH shorts might be evolving in different style then past styles.

Bought Desert Sun coloured Cool Racerback II Nulu last year WMTM sale. With summer sun i get darker so the colour blends into my skin tone. Although be nice to see pink clay speed shorts or aligns which would contrast the darker shade lighter bottoms.
Ordered red brown align dupes pair it with my Desert Sun Nulu tank might work well, wait and see when it arrives. Feel it might be more dark cherry wunder unders i own and swiftly SS.

Hi Mack! Pink Clay is gorgeous, I think it is right up there with Quicksand. It would be really pretty in a Swiftly! Mink Berry is pretty too. I am all for the rose pink shades!
DeleteIt could be that Hotty Hots are evolving. I don't mind it since so far, they still fit and the waistband is pretty stretchy.
I have been putting off the Ali-Express dupe order but I am going to place it this weekend! They look like really good dupes.
I have those same Vuori Joggers! I like them a lot - there isn't a better pair of pants as far as comfort is concerned!
ReplyDeleteLove the Electric Turquoise shorts! I've been pining for the High Rise Hotty Hots in Purple Highlight. That color makes me happy! However since the price hike, I have vowed to not buy any more shorts unless they're on WMTM. I hope my size sticks around until then!
Question for you: have you tried Athleta's Trekkie North Jogger? They just went on sale on the Canadian website, and I'm trying to decide what size to get. Not too keen on ordering more than one size, since returns have been taking a very long time to process (but hey, at least they honor returns on sale items!). Anyway, if you have tried them, I'd love to know your thoughts!

DeleteI'm not super in love with Purple Highlight, but I would probably pick them up if they went on WMTM, but so far it looks like all the smaller sizes are sold out! I guess people love it enough to pay the full price. I am being a little more picky as well.
I have not tried the Trekkie North Joggers. Athleta seems to be pretty good about being consistent for bottoms in numerical sizes. I'm almost always a 0P, very rarely do I ever size up to a 2P. But they do offer returns, so it might be worth it to try two sizes and see?
Thanks for another great review, Leslie! I got a Fringe Fighter Headband in Lavender Fog/Chrome at WMTM and really like it! It is wider and way more comfortable than an Athleta headband I got a while ago.
ReplyDeleteI’ve been eyeing the Fringe Fighter in Diamond Dye Seashell Smoky Topaz/Graphite Gray and wonder if the color is more like coral or pink like the crop/short you have. Any advice?

Hi Andrea! It's kind of a mauve pink. Dusty mauve rose color, but it's got a few different shades and I think it's beautiful. It's not bright, so that's why I wouldn't call it a coral. Coral to me is a brighter color.

DeleteOh I love that turquoise color! I found my old HH HR in a size down fit only slightly smaller in the waist than my TTS (from this year). I heard the sizing was big in the waist which is why I sized down last year and the year before but I like my TTS more. So maybe the size is smaller bc I can fit both (the TTS fits a little higher rise and more room in the glutes which fits me better)
ReplyDeleteHi Janessa! I haven't tried the size down in the HH, always got my true to size and didn't mind the extra room. But yes, the waist seems to be a little smaller for Electric Turquoise. I definitely wouldn't be able to fit the size 2, whereas last year, I might have been able to!

ReplyDeleteI got my Poolside HHs in and really like the color, too. I have Cerulean Speed Ups, and the colors are quite different - enough for me to justify keeping both!
I'm undecided about the Find Your Pace Shorts. I love how light and airy they are, but the waistband is pretty tight in my tts and doesn't have much stretch. I don't have wide hips, but it's a squeeze to get them on. Though I know they will eventually stretch out, they are probably going back.

I had the FYP Shorts packed up and ready to return - but said what-the-heck, de-tagged them, and did a test run. I LOVE them. They are truly high rise, super lightweight, and the waistband didn't bother me. Happy I gave them a shot!
