Review! Lululemon City Adventurer Backpack Micro 3L & Video!

Is it already Monday again? It feels like a whirlwind at times. I blink and the weekend is over. Today, I've got a mini backpack up for review. I was curious about seeing this one in person because of the convertible crossbody option. It also reminds me of Louis Vuitton's Palm Springs Mini. Both backpacks are almost identical in size and convertible.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. In this post I'm wearing an Athleta set in size XXS which I will link to below.

Dimensions - 8.7" X 6.5" X 3.1"

I purchased this in black since it literally goes with every outfit. However, Lulu just released it in Pink Pastel and it's so cute! 😍 The straps are fully adjustable, which is fantastic. I can't tell you how many times I've come across a backpack or bag that does not have fully adjustable straps and even on the shortest setting, it's still too long on my petite frame. It's also super easy to convert the backpack to a crossbody bag. There's a handle that pulls up both straps, turning it into a crossbody bag. My video below explains this in better detail. I'll also show what fits inside the bag.

I really love the crossbody option. I think it looks great and works well. Which do you prefer? Backpack or crossbody? The bag itself is super light and can fit your everyday essentials and then some. There's a second zippered pocket on the outside that is functional, I'm just not sure what I would put in there to be honest. The quality seems to be very good, but I did notice that the inside metal Lululemon logo was already replaced with a sticker decal, similar to the updated version of the Everywhere Belt Bag, which does make me a little sad. It's always the details that make things special.

The price is $78. I would say the price is fair for this bag considering it's two bags in one. However, I would rather have Lulu raise the prices slightly and keep the quality the same, than seeing the price stay the same and the quality go down. Although, I will say we have been seeing cases where the price is going up AND the quality is going down. 😔

That's all for me today! Definitely check out the video and let me know what you think of this convertible backpack. Have a great start to another new week!

  1. That's a great little bag! I prefer the crossbody option, but I like that you can wear it either way. As for the straps sticking out, maybe you could clip them together with a carabiner or something like that to keep them from flaring out?

    Have a great week!

    1. Hi Lola, That's a great idea. Would definitely have to try that!

  2. Thanks for the great review, Leslie! I’m loving the videos and they are really helpful in showing the product details.

The bag is cuter than I thought and it looks great as either a backpack or crossbody. I too am bummed about LLL replacing the metal logo with a sticker decal, and agree that it’s often the little details that make you willing to pay a bit more.

Thanks to you, I grabbed an original Everywhere Belt Bag before it was discontinued, and surprisingly have been making a lot of uses out of it. The metal logo and the double buckles make the bag look so much nicer than the new version. I hope LLL brings the original version back and I’m willing to pay a few bucks more for better quality.

    1. Hi Andrea! Yay, glad you're finding the videos helpful. I do think it's easier to show the details for sure. Agreed, I would rather pay more money for better quality as well. The new version just doesn't do it for me. Pretty bummed out because I am sure they will release a limited edition version like the fleece for the holidays and I'll have to decide if it's worth it or not! =T

  3. I love this backpack and have it in Clementine! It got it on markdown for $59, I think. The EBB is too small for me, but this is perfect. I use it daily as my go-everywhere/do everything bag. The only use I've found for the front zippered pocket is holding doggie poop bags.

    1. Hi LZ! Ohhh that's a nice price for this bag. If it goes on WMTM, it would be way more tempting to get another!

LOL at poop bags. It's a weird pocket to have there. Glad to know you've found it useful for something!

  4. The backpack is so cute! I like it both ways but as a backpack more. I got my Loungeful Crew (size 4 and I wear a 2 in align tanks/bras/shirts). It fit but the structured and stiffness made the fit boxy and shapeless. I gave it to my mom who wears a 4/6 and it fit her so much better. Slightly fitted a little at the bust and hips. On me, it was just a straight down boxy cut but not oversized or drapey enough to be a boyfriend fit. I thought the fit was fine but not flattering compared to the POC. The seams on the front from the chest to the shoulders is very pronounced and not my favorite. The Mineral Blue color was beautiful though

    1. Hi Janessa! That's too bad about the Loungeful Crewneck. I tried the Cropped Hoodie and thought it was a little too boxy as well, but very comfortable. I still want to try the Loungeful Pullover Hoodie and the Full Zip. But it's a million and one degrees right now and the last thing on my mind is anything lined in fleece!

Oh and I do agree about the seams near the shoulders are a little questionable. I think it will probably depend on the color for it to blend or stand out.

  5. hi Leslie, Thanks for the review! The bag is very cute and the size is practical! I love that you included a video and showed how much you can fit in the bag. Before reading this review, I always thought the main compartment only goes down to where the horizontal zipper is and that zipper opens up a bottom compartment!

    1. Hi Karen! Ohhh I can totally understand why you would think that and actually, that might have been a better design! =D I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
