Fit Review! Aviator Nation Haul! Classic Pullover Hoodie, Boyfriend Tee, Sunburst Apres Puffer Jacket, 5 Stripe Hoodie

How is everyone doing? I've been getting back into my regular routine and eating mainly veggies because I really need to detox after my glutinous NY trip. That was just way too much meat for me. I've got a really good Aviator Nation haul for you today. My AN wardrobe is definitely growing and they have become my favorite pieces to wear lately! I love the relaxed laid back vibe that's kind of retro and kind of 70s. I'm totally into it.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS in Aviator Nation. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This is my second Classic Pullover Hoodie. I have one in Heathered Gray with the velvet stripes which I love, so I got another. It's too warm to wear now, but it'll make the fall/winter season something to look forward to. I'm wearing my usual size XS and it's the perfect lounging hoodie. The sleeves are not too long even for my short arms. The length hits at my low hip. The neck opening is not tight at all. The kangaroo pockets are great for holding my cell phone and I love the gold zipper hardware.

Boyfriend Tee Mountain Rainbow Size Small

This is also my second Boyfriend Tee. They're just amazingly comfortable. It's super soft and fits well. They do run small, so I like to size up. The neck opening is slightly small, which is another reason I like to size up. The hem has a raw edge and it rolls up a little. That's something to consider if you're not a fan of raw hem lines. The length hits at the hip.

Okay, so I know this is the jacket you've all been waiting for! No? Just me? 😆 I have been drooling over this jacket ever since it was released. I love rainbows and I love soft puffy jackets, but I could not stomach the retail price of $875. It is absolutely the most money I have ever spent on a piece of clothing. I waited and waited and last month they offered 30% off their entire outerwear collection. The catch? It is final sale, but I had to have it.

The color is a deep glossy blue, and it's actually not that shiny in person. I went with the darker blue because it looks the best with the rainbow in my opinion. Well, I would have been happy with a lighter blue as well. It just makes sense to have the rainbow with a blue background.

This jacket is waterproof and the insulation is Primaloft gold 200gm. I'm wearing size XS which is the same size I get in the hoodies. The waistband is a stretchy elastic that I like folded under a bit instead of pulling it down. I think the jacket looks a little cleaner without the elastic band showing.

Elastic folded under.

The rest of the photos show the elastic band. Which way do you think looks better? Elastic folded under, or the elastic band showing? The jacket is lovely and super comfortable and you really can't beat the rainbow.

Last but not least I got another 5 Stripe Hoodie. I could not resist the black with the pink and purple stripes. They just keep getting better and better! I do love them more than Scuba Hoodies. 😱 The lighting here was not so great, so I do apologize for the yellow tint.

also wearing Align Shorts 6" Size 4

I did notice the sleeves are a little longer than my other 5 Stripe Hoodies with a slightly looser fit. I wonder if this is an updated fit. It's still super comfortable, so I'm not complaining.

I don't usually wear black, but it just looks so good with the Align Shorts. 😍

Aviator Nation finally released a new purple hoodie! What do you do think of this purple? I kind of wish it was heathered or slightly darker. That's it for me! Hope you all have a great start to the new week.

  1. hi Leslie! Thanks for another great review! My fav is the boyfriend tee! The length and fit are perfect and I love the graphics. For the Apres Puffer Jacket, I prefer the clean look when you tuck in the bottom elastic, but it looks fine either way. XS looks good on you, with room to layer, but not too oversized. I think the 5 Stripe Hoodie looks nice in both Black/Pink/Purple and Purple/Pink. The Purple looks more plum in the stock pic, goes well with the gold zipper for a retro look.

With so many great choices, no wonder your AN wardrobe is growing! Have a great day!

  2. Thanks for the great review, Leslie! My favorite piece is the 5 Stripe Hoodie in Black/Pink/Purple. It’s nicer than the Purple/Pink version in my opinion.

The Sunburst Apres Puffer Jacket Glossy Deep Blue looks equally cute with the elastic band unfold or tucked under cos the focus in on the beautiful rainbow pattern anyway! :). Deep Blue is such a pretty color and I do think the rainbow colors stand out more with a deeper blue background.

Are you keeping all the pieces? You probably need another no-buy month soon! :D

    1. Hi Andrea! Yep I am keeping all of these. Luckily I got them on sale 20-30 percent off. I am going on another ban in August! It's just around the corner. =D

I think my favorites are the Sunburst Puffer Jacket and the 5 Stripe Hoodie in the Black/Pink/Purple. I've already worn the 5 Stripe Hoodie while I was in NY!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
