Fit Review! Athleta Store Try Ons - Sightseer Lace Jacket & Farallon Jogger

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I did a store try on post. I went to Athleta last weekend and the Sightseer Lace Jacket caught my eye. It also looks like Athleta updated their Farallon Jogger sizing.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS or PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

also wearing Farallon Jogger in Mountain Olive - OP (discontinued color)

This is a light weight spring jacket that can be used for running or for casual wear. The color is Magnolia White. In person it looks like ivory. I'm wearing size XXS and there's enough room to layer. The length almost covers my bottom completely. In the front it's a little shorter and hits at low hip. This jacket does come in petite sizing, I would have liked to try the PXS to compare. The stores unfortunately do not carry petite sizing. I wish they would!

Has a side zip for ventilation.

The back of the jacket has a ruching detail going across. The inside of the jacket is lined in lace.

Overall it's a very cute light weight jacket and it did make me happy wearing it. Price is $149, but with the many sales that Athleta has, I would say wait for the 20% off.

Next up we have a fan favorite, Farallon Jogger in a new Tawny Rose shade. I have a couple of pairs of these joggers and have always purchased size 0P. Now the sizes are no longer numeric and have switched over to letter sizing. I'm wearing size XS here and would definitely prefer PXS.

The length is just a tad too long at 27 inches, the petite length is 25 inches. These joggers are super comfortable and very easy to wear. The waist is stretchy with an adjustable cord. While I love this rose color, I am not sure I would reach for it. I think I prefer rose colored tops over bottoms. Let me know what you think!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful start to the last week of April! 😊

    2. The jacket just arrived and I LOVE IT! The details are so cute and it’s what LLL clothes are missing these days. I didn’t know there was a tape running down the sleeve but don’t mind it. Love the ruching in the back and the bottom of the jacket. My husband took a picture of the back for me and I could actually see the lace pattern underneath which is kind of pretty! The jacket is a bit pricey even with a 20% off but it’s totally worth it!!

    3. It’s me, Andrea, who left the above comment. The “unable to sign in” comment keeps showing up every time I try to log into my google account to comment. Hopefully the glitch will be fixed soon,

    4. WOW that was fast shipping!! Yes I totally agree Lulu is missing the details these days. I did not know the lace pattern underneath showed up on the back, but that makes sense as the fabric is very thin and featherlight. Sounds gorgeous!

Check to see there's any updates on your laptop or iPad, sometimes that's what's causing the issue. =)

  2. hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review. Magnolia White looks great on you! I think the colour brightens your face! The Farallon joggers look nice in Tawny Rose, but I agree that petite length would be better! Have a good week!

    1. Hi Karen! Magnolia White is surprisingly wearable! I'm slowly starting to embrace lighter colors, especially for tops. Bottoms, I still prefer a darker shade most of the time!

  3. I really wish Athleta had petite in store too! Sometimes I prefer regular sizing and sometimes petite but I don't like to order a bunch online just to try in multiple sizes... I'd rather go in store!
Also I tried the Aritzia TNA Butter cheeky shorts and found it gives bad camel toe :( Do I need a size up?? I tried on XS

    1. Yes! I'm the same way. Sometimes I like the regular sizing over the petite sizing. I always end up ordering a bunch of sizes to see which I prefer. It is a little annoying having to return all the time!

Oh no! I would try a size up and see if the camel toe goes away. I've been working out with them at home and haven't noticed. But then again I don't look super closely. =T

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
