This upload seems to be pretty lame. The only thing that's worth pointing out is the Scuba Funnel Neck White Opal. I am liking the colors that Lululemon has right now, but not really interested in many of the items. I do have a fit review of the Blissfeel shoes coming this Friday though! I will also be trying out my first fit review using video footage. 😅 I'm a little nervous about that!
I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
Nothing for me this week! I'm really hoping to see Highlight Pink return for summer. It's already 80 degrees in TX, so I'm only looking at tanks and shorts at this point.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like the sparkle socks I grabbed (last week?). They are so cute but not at all functional - even for casual use. They're almost 100% mesh and stretch out immediately and slide around. I think the only way I can wear them is with flats to work...which is still just my living room. It's a shame!
Hi LZ- Yes same here, I was hoping for some more Hotty Hots or Align Shorts, but nothing! I'm surprised. That is a bummer the sparkle socks aren't usable. I wonder if you leave a review on the site, maybe they'll reach out to you for a return?
DeleteA very underwhelming upload! I am looking forward to your shoe review :).
ReplyDeleteLeslie, are you keeping the POCC in White Opal? I am so torn... I love it in Soft Denim but I am not sure how high maintenance White Opal will be...
Hi AmberstLulu! Same, I am actually waiting to open them up on the day I shoot the video. I'm pretty nervous about it! Shoes and video, haha.
DeleteI am still debating on the White Opal POCC. Only because I was just emailing Andrea about the Scuba Hoodies that the sleeves are so tight around the forearms that I have a hard time pushing them up when I have to wash my hands. I almost feel like the POCC cuff is very similar, it's really small and not stretchy. I have two POCCs left and while I do still love the look and style, the cuffs are so not practical! So I'm still debating it... haha. Maybe if I keep the White Opal, I'll sell my Tidewater Teal. It's kind of similar to my Gray Sage. Oh, I also got the Athleta X Keys Relaxed Cropped Tee and the fabric is very similar to Softstreme, I think I am definitely keeping that. I haven't taken the photos yet but I tried it on and it's pretty nice. I got it in Magnolia White. Maybe if I keep that, I won't feel the need to keep the White Opal POCC... sigh. Decisions, decisions! Let me know what you end up doing.
I ordered the Tennis Time HR Skirt Silver Blue. $74 is a more reasonable price point for a tennis skirt. I hope it leans more blue than the pictures show. I'm more of a blue person.
ReplyDeleteThe Ribbled Modal Cotton Dress also looks interesting, but I think it's overpriced for a dress that doesn't come with a built-in bra. It looks oversized, so this may be an item I need to try on in store.
Hi Karen! I can tell you for sure Silver Blue is more blue than green. I have it in the Scuba Hoodie that I just ordered (but returning) and it's really pretty. I love the color. I think you'll like it.
DeleteThe Ribbed Modal Cotton Dress is nice, but doesn't look very petite friendly. =(
hi Leslie, If the colour turns out like your Classic-Fit Cotton-Blend T-Shirt, I think I'll like it! I guess you decided you prefer the Scuba hoodie in Vintage Plum over Silver Blue! Looking forward to your fit review!
DeleteHi Karen- I actually prefer Silver Blue over Vintage Plum I think. But the first Scuba Hoodie order for the Vintage Plum arrived with a defect, it wasn't sewn properly at the armpit and cut narrower. The second order along with Silver Blue arrived and the fit was better on the second Vintage Plum but it was still too tight across the the back and chest. The Silver Blue was true to size, but the tight sleeves I think is going to be a deal breaker for me. I may be done with Scuba Hoodies. =(
DeleteI, too, love Silver Blue and the new tennis skirt definitely caught my attention. However, I have too many Lulu skirts ATM - esp CR - that I cannot bring myself to buy it. Too bad the scuba jacket didn't work out for you, Leslie! I'm currently eyeing the Silver Blue CRB but realistically, I know I'll get more use out of it if it's a Swiftly tank or love tank 😅
DeleteSilver Blue is really pretty, Karen. I'm also not a green person (Silver Blue does look green on the website pictures) and luckily it leans more blue in person in the Scuba Hoodie. There might be a slight color difference on different fabrics though.
Deletehi ladies! My skirt arrived today! You're right in that Silver Blue doesn't look as green as the pictures! The skirt arrived as a wrinkled mess though. When I have time on the weekend, I'll try to steam it. Hopefully that'll help.
DeleteHi Karen! Glad the Silver Blue didn't disappoint! I have been using my steamer a lot for Lulu and Athleta lately. Seems like most of the time it gets thrown around in the shipping bag. Let us know how you like the skirt.
Deletehi Leslie, The skirt is well constructed. The fabric is the same light & quick-drying material as Lulu's other tennis skirts. Sizewise, I ordered size 2 (waist 25"-25.5", hip 34.5") and it fits well at the waist, but I wish the liner was less tight. It rides up as I walk around the room. The fit is a true high rise, similar to the Court Rival Skirt. The length of the skirt (14.5" for size 2) is perfect in my opinion; it's the perfect in-between Pave Rival Regular (13") and Long (15") skirts.
DeleteThe only thing I don't like about the skirt is that it's more flouncy than expected. The back looks great, but the multiple (four!) wide pleats at the front are too much for me. I prefer a simple A-line style. I never bought the Court Rival Skirt because I thought it's too girly for my style, and this skirt reminds me of the Court Rival Skirt. That's just my personal style though. Those who love the Court Rival Skirt will probably like this skirt.
My dream tennis skirt would be the Play Off The Pleats skirt in high rise, with the same waist band as the Speed Up High Rise shorts. I find the zippered pocket on the waistband very practical.
Hi Karen, thank you for this review!! I would love to have this posted as a guest review on my blog along with a couple of photos of you wouldn't mind taking them. Modeling the skirt is not necessary. Just a photo of the front and the back should be fine. Please let me know!
DeleteI've already put the skirt back in the shipping bag, so it may be slightly wrinkly now, but I can take pics tomorrow and you can decide if you'd like to post them or not? Just let me know how to send the pictures to you.
DeleteSure, that should work! My email address is petiteimpact@gmail.com
DeleteThank you!!
email sent~
DeleteYay shoe review with video footage! I like the skirt but Aritzia has many cute and similar styles in a bunch of colors for less! I like the white opal funnel neck cause the color. I am super interested in the rulu 1/2 zip! It looks super comfy and versatile.
ReplyDeleteHi Janessa! I was looking at the Rulu 1/2 Zip. It looks really comfy but unsure if I should size down, there's a couple of reviews that said they sized down in it, but since I have a short torso, I'm wondering if the fitted waist might not fit over my hip (which is where I think the hem would hit.) I like it in the Heathered Raceway Gray.
DeleteYou are so right- this drop was underwhelming. I think it’s a combo of different colors on the same ol’ styles and the models. I always laugh because it looks like they aren’t trying to sell the clothes so they make the clothes look ‘blah’. Anyway, looking forward to your review of the blissful shoe. I received the butter pink/green shoe today. Kinda disappointed that it looks more ‘peach’ than pink. Love the green though. I ordered my usual 7. Good fit, supports my foot well and it just felt comfy. I haven’t taken them out yet- I’m not a runner, but I do a lot of fast walking. Waiting for the pink shoe delivery, should be here on Friday!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry! I am not a runner either, but willing to test it out on the treadmill for a more in depth review. I'll also have to see how it compares to Allbirds which is my favorite shoe ever.
DeleteI bought a few items during the Athleta sale and am glad there's nothing interesting for me this upload. :) Really looking forward your review on the Blissful Shoes!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea! Ohhh you'll have to share what you ordered from Athleta. =)
DeleteI finally bought the Studio Wide Leg Pants in two colors and absolutely love them! The petite length works perfect for me. :) Also got the Avenue Wide Leg Crop which is comfortable and flattering. I did try the Balance Joggers but not sure if I love them. They are nice but the rise is kind of tight on me ...
DeleteYay! Glad the Studio Wide Pants work for you. I love my Balance Joggers but if you don't find it comfy I would return or try the size up. I just find them to be so soft.
