Road Trip to Panama City/Rosemary Beach & Allbirds Sale Update

Allbirds Sale Update!

I want to start off this post by apologizing for the mixup with the Allbirds sale. They sent out an automated email notifying me to let my readers know about the sale. When the sale didn't happen as I was told it would, I reached out to my contact over at Allbirds to express my concern and disappointment. He looked into the matter and realized that the email I received was delayed by 3 days due to a software issue. My contact was then kind enough to let me know that this week he'll give me a new discount code that I can provide, so stay tuned.

My husband and I took a little road trip to Panama City for a long weekend. The drive from Atlanta is about five to six hours. We explored Panama City Beach for a few hours but was put off by the loud cruising culture. Then we got in the car and drove to Rosemary Beach and spent the rest of the day there. Rosemary Beach is cute! My husband says it reminds him of Austria. I will link to the websites to all the places we went to.

La Crema

We had lunch at La Crema and ordered the crab cakes and lobster mac and cheese. Couldn't pass up the chocolate chip cookies for desert. They were hot and gooey! It came with a shot of milk too. SO good. I highly recommend La Crema.

We are already talking about making another trip down here specifically to stay at The Pearl Hotel. Especially since La Crema is literally across the street from it.

The Pearl Hotel

That night we went to Firefly for dinner with my husband's friends. I ordered the scallops and my husband had the sesame crusted yellowfin tuna with bok choy. We also ordered she crab soup and more crab cakes! I was so stuffed! That night I slept like a baby.

The next day we explored 30A and stopped by Lululemon! Of course I had to go in. I wanted to see if they had the Blissfeel shoes on display, but sadly they did not. My order just arrived and I will be taking a video of my initial reaction and will also write a short fit review and then after I've had them for a month or so I'll write a more detailed review.

The store did however have the Hotty Hot Short in the reflective print for $128!! And no, I did not try them on. I really have no use for reflective shorts as I do not do any exercising outside. If I did, definitely not at night or early morning.

Someone explain to me what the obsession is over the Never Lost Keychain. They are gigantic!! With the small bag trend, I don't have room to spare for the size of this keychain. 😆 It's as long as my forearm!

We then had lunch at The Citizen at Alys Beach. This restaurant came recommended to me by a friend, but I think the menu wasn't at the best. I have a feeling their menu changes very often and it just wasn't our taste. The appetizer we ordered was fantastic though. Our entrees were okay.

Wagyu Skirt Streak Frites

After lunch we walked around Alys Beach and fell in love with the houses there. The white stucco looked so smooth and I love the minimalist design. I've never seen anything like it.

Afterwards we drove to Dune Allen Beach and walked along the water. It was a really relaxing trip and I can't wait to come back!

Our last meal was at Aloha Poke Sushi & Hibachi. This place was literally a hole in the wall. We almost couldn't even find it because the store did not light up the store name. It was practically camouflaged against the building. We ordered custom Poke bowls and was very pleased with how fresh everything was and the portion size was huge. I didn't even finish mine.

I know you're all curious as to which bags I took with me on this road trip. I used my Prada Fairy Bag as my travel tote. I also brought my Balenciaga Pewter First as my hands free crossbody bag.

That's it for me, hope you all have a stress free Monday!

  1. Looks like you’ve had a wonderful road trip! :)

I have the Never Lost Keychain in back. I’ve tried attaching it to the Now and Always Pouch which is kind of cute! With thin arms I can wear it all the way up over my shoulder lol. I must say it’s huge as a keychain though.

Looking forward to your Lulu running shoes review!

  2. Sounds like you had a great mini-holiday! The food pics look sooo good!

Glad to hear Allbirds is going to make amends for the mix-up. Fingers crossed the code will work in Canada too :)

I didn't realize the Never Lost Keychain was that big! I guess it would work to throw in a gym bag, but for me, it wouldn't be very practical. I like the available colors though!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. Review! Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap VS Everywhere Belt Bag Original

Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC. I'm already thinking about all the dim sum I'm going to cram in the 10 days I'm there! 😆  Today I have a review of the new  Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap  compared to the original  Everywhere Belt Bag  that is slowly being phased out. 😢  **** Update - The original Everywhere Belt Bag has been phased out completely. The website has removed the Extended Strap from the name. The updated version is now called the Everywhere Belt Bag!**** For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.
