Review! Rothy's - The Saddle Bag & Athleta Secret Sale & WMTM Update!

Happy Friday! I'm going to the new office today for the first time and will probably head into the office three times a week (I'm hoping) which leads me to this review. This Rothy's saddle bag is fairly versatile. It can be used for quick errands over the weekends, brunch with some friends (now that things are getting better with the pandemic) and it's the perfect size for grabbing a bite to eat with office mates for lunch.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

also wearing my favorite cardigan Naked Cashmere's Rowen Size XS

The size is definitely small. It can hold my card case, keys, phone and a small pouch to hold other miscellaneous things but that's about it. It's an easy bag to carry, I like to wear it crossbody to keep my hands free. The magnetic closure could be a little stronger, I do feel like it's a little on the weak side and opens quite easily, there's not much resistance there. The strap is fully adjustable, no issues with the length even with my short torso and measures 1.5 inches wide.

The shape of this saddle bag can be a little tricky at times. Because it's a circle shape, the items can end up bunched in the middle of the bag. Placing your items strategically is key! There is a flap that opens up to a single compartment with one side pocket. There are no zippers to this bag.

I can also easily fit my iPhone 12 pro.

One inside pocket to hold cards/cash/receipts.

The quality and construction is superb. The fabric is so soft for something that's knitted from plastic bottles. I also love that you can throw this in the washing machine. Rothy's includes a dust bag and a wash bag  for this purpose! Always remember to air dry.

The colors are cream and black. It also comes in Total Black but I think the Ivory/Ink combination looks more interesting. There's the signature Rothy's blue in the middle of the flap and a hint of yellow on the sides of the flap. Otherwise this bag is very minimalistic. I kind of love it! However the price is a bit steep at $195. It's expensive for such a little bag. I used some of my referral awards to purchase this bag so it helped with the cost. In the end, my mom saw it and liked this bag so much that I gave it to her as a gift. She's excited to use it when she goes shopping so that makes me happy. 😊

In other news I don't think I've seen an Athleta Warehouse sale in a very long time. It was just announced and ends 3/6. Up to 70% off but note - all sales are final. There's currently over 500 items to look through.

Plus there was a really good WMTM update!

(I like this, but I don't know what I would use it for!)

That's it for me! Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Shopping!

  2. The saddle bag is so cute and I also love that it’s machine washable! Love the hint of yellow which makes it more interesting.

My Lululemon Wide Brim Hat orders came in! I said orders because LLL restocked and I managed to place another order in size L/XL. If I didn’t get the larger size, I would think size S/M fit perfect. However, I love how the larger size provides better coverage (I can pull the hat down lower) and I could cinch it to make it fit smaller around the head anyway. The fabric is very soft and light, and so comfortable that I have to keep both the black and white ones! I’m really happy with my purchase!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. Review! Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap VS Everywhere Belt Bag Original

Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC. I'm already thinking about all the dim sum I'm going to cram in the 10 days I'm there! 😆  Today I have a review of the new  Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap  compared to the original  Everywhere Belt Bag  that is slowly being phased out. 😢  **** Update - The original Everywhere Belt Bag has been phased out completely.
