Happy Friday! The Beginnings of Frugal February!

Happy Friday! Apologies for not having my usual Fit Review Friday post, but lately, Lululemon just hasn't had many items that have piqued my interest enough to purchase. This is a good thing since I'm on a no buy this month. My goal is to acquire less items and spend less this year on Lulu. I did however end up grabbing a couple of Lunar New Year accessories. I couldn't pass up the Everywhere Belt Bag in Dark Red and the City Adventurer Nano Backpack to match. I also bought it in black, but I haven't decided if I am going to keep both.

The Everywhere Belt bag has been the best purchase over the last couple of years. That said I do not need 4 of them! The City Adventurer Nano Backpack is just so cute. They're teeny tiny but work great as a backpack for dogs and cats? Not that I plan on using them that way, but I find them to be a catchall for little things like receipts, spare change, AirPods and random bits that end up floating around your bag. I also purchased a couple more staples in my workout wardrobe. ETS Cropped Tank and Align HR Short 6" which is my favorite length for working out.

Ebb To Street Cropped Racerback Tank Top Heathered Smokey Red Size 6
Align HR Short 6" Diamond Dye Lunar Rock True Navy Size 4

I've been hearing rumors that Ebb To Street Tanks were also going up in price? I still can't get over the Hotty Hot price increase. I noticed there are lots of sizes restocked in the Hotty Hots. Some are still priced at $58, grab them up while you can.

Let's discuss what I will be doing in my no buy month. I'll be watching a lot of TV shows. I'm currently bingeing Victoria. If you enjoyed The Crown, this is an excellent series as well. I hope to read a couple of books this month. Cleaning out my closet is on my to do list along with adding more items to My Closet on Poshmark. And of course I'll be shopping my closet! I do have some orders still trickling in from my end of January purchases, so there will be some good reviews coming up! Plus my birthday is on Sunday and let's face it, I did some birthday shopping in January to prepare myself for a no buy month. 😅

In other news, here are my picks from this week's WMTM update.

That's it for me! Have a great weekend!

  1. Happy Birthday, Leslie! Wishing you a wonderful day filled with love, joy and good food! :D

The City Adventurer Nano Bags are sooooo cute but I doubt I’ll ever make use of something so tiny LOL! Not a red person but I must admit the Dark Red is a nice red. I would keep the red one if I were you,

LLL stuff are getting so expensive that soon I’ll probably be only buying from the WMTM section! BTW, I just ordered a Vinyasa Scarf (I’ve no idea why they changed the product name) in pretty Diamond Dye Navy Lunar Rock). At $29 it’s not too bad (original price $68!).

Here’s wishing you a nice weekend and have fun celebrating your big day!

    1. Thanks Andrea for the birthday wishes!! Yes I will be returning the black Nano, the red is very pretty and matches my EBB.

I saw the Vinyasa Scarf for $29 and was very tempted but I haven't even worn my scarves in so long now cuz of the pandemic, so I passed it for now! But such a great price. Hope you enjoy!!

  2. Out of the two City Adventurer Nano Backpack, I also prefer the red one. It looks so cute!

I love my one and only Vinyasa Scarf! It keeps me warm and washes well! I think it's one of my most used Lulu items!

I like your idea of listing more things for resell during Frugal February. I also try to sell items that I no longer wear, and I'm so happy whenever I make a sale! I pocket a little money, clear some space in my closet, and an unused item goes to someone else who can enjoy it!

Happy (early) birthday! How are you going to celebrate? I hope you'll have a wonderful weekend and be spoiled in many ways!

    1. Thank you so much Karen! Yep, clearing out some space always makes me feel better mentally. If I'm not using it, it should go to someone else who will. Are you joining me in Frugal February?

I'm getting a massage tomorrow and then a dinner out with the husband. Sunday, not sure yet even tho that's my actual birthday. Might just kick back and relax this weekend. =) I'm definitely going to be eating a lot. So I should plan on getting some exercise in!

    2. I'm on a low-buy in the next few months, but no quite ready to commit to a no-buy.

Your plan sounds very nice! Enjoy yourself and have a great day!

  3. Happy birthday! I also couldn't resist the red EBB - bought it when I first saw it in store! The nano backpack is cute and I thought about getting it but I couldn't as I already got the logo pouch and I hardly use it... 😅 I finally got my hands on the LNY red define and I love it! Would be extra perfect if it's slightly cropped. Also loving the cropped nulu define 😁

    1. Hi Blueberries! Ahhhh do you have the Cropped Define already? How is the fit? Is it a keeper?

I love the LNY Red Define too. It is gorgeous.

    2. The length of the cropped define is perfect! It ends about one inch below my belly button so maybe a smudge too long with hr skirts (not a big issue). It's nulu soft and I took my TTS of sz 4. I could even squeeze into a sz 2 for an extra snatched look but the chest is too tight - barely able to zip up! Lol. Sz 4 is more comfortable too. Definitely a keeper.

Reading your past posts, I saw that u got last year LNY EBB too! Which version do u like more?

    3. Oh good to know. I guess I will stick to a size 4 if it restocks after my no buy month!

I prefer this year's LNY EBB because of the contrasting strap. I think that really makes it look different. I also prefer the darker zipper- sometimes the gold zipper can be a little too blingy for my tastes!

  4. That EBB is beautiful! How do you like the Nano Backpack? I always admire them, but I can't think of what I would put in one if I got one.

I hear you about the Lulu price hikes! I am definitely not as excited about upload day as I used to be, as I've hit my limit with the pricing. I'll be stalking WMTM from now on (after Frugal February, of course!)

I hope you have a great birthday!

    1. Haven't gotten to use it yet. But I am thinking it would be perfect to use with bigger bags like totes. I don't see myself using it as a daily item, but more of a when I need to use a big bag I will throw the Nano Backpack in there.

Agreed, I think Lulu has def hit a limit with a lot of people with their price increase. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next few months.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

  5. The Court Rival Talls are such a good deal but I don't think I'd really wear them especially in those colors more than once... so I didn't get... even though I am tempted! I picked up a pair of HH HR in white for $58! Yay! Happy birthday :D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
