Athleta Fit Review! Tugga Sherpa Hoodie & Brooklyn Lined Camo Jogger

Black Friday is almost upon us! I don't know about you but I've already done a lot of damage this month with all the early access sales. It will be really interesting to see what Lululemon will have for their Tuesday drop and then I expect they will have their version of Black Friday the night before Thanksgiving is my guess. I recall them doing that last year. I will definitely post as soon as it's up and will send out notifications on my Facebook and Instagram page. In the meantime, Athleta is offering 20% off on their app and I expect it will roll out to everyone on the site as well. Definitely take advantage of this!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size XS/PXS/PO in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Sherpa is still all the rage lately and I had to try on the Tugga Sherpa Hoodie. This is actually very petite friendly and even my husband commented on how flattering it looks. The sherpa is very soft and plushy. The kangaroo pockets are great for keeping hands warm.

I do think this hoodie runs a little small. I am wearing size XS and it doesn't feel oversized. The only thing I wasn't 100% crazy about is the small neck opening. There is an extra piece of fabric going across the front that makes it more snug than usual. It's hard to see in my photos but the model picture shows it more clearly.

The sleeves are a bit long, but nothing too crazy. There are thumbholes which is always nice to have. The length hits at the hip for me on the XS. I really did like this but returned because of the small neck opening. I would definitely overheat in this!

Next up we have the Brooklyn Lined Camo Jogger. I love the regular Brooklyn Jogger and was excited to see a lined version for fall/winter. I sized up from my normal size 0P in the Brooklyn Jogger because these  sit below the waist. Some of the reviews also mentioned the lining makes the crotch feel a little short which I did notice even in the size up.

They are also a little baggier in the legs and fitted around the ankles. The camo is very subtle. The fabric is very soft and the lining super cozy, but I ended up returning because of the odd fit around the crotch. If you like these I still think it's worth giving a try on. The lining does feel substantial and seems like it would be great for the colder months ahead.

The length measures 26.5 inches long and it does bunch just a little bit at the ankles on me. The size 0P would fit better in the legs.

The waistband is stretchy and sits about an inch underneath my belly button. This is actually a very comfortable jogger, if not for lining around the crotch.

A close up of the camo print. The side of the pant has a black stripe running down the leg. For $109, it is a little pricey, but definitely more palatable with the 20% off coupon.

That's it for me! Have everyone has a great Monday and see you all on Tuesday!

  1. hi Leslie, Thanks for another great review! The Tugga Sherpa Hoodie looks very cute on you! It's a great fit. Too bad the neck opening is too small!

On another note, Lulu had an early drop this week! The new cropped define jacket looks stunning in Night Sea and I think I can dress up this jacket with a cute skirt or dress pants! Feeling bummed that my size is already sold out! I hope there will be a restock soon.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
