Fit Review! Seasoft Scoop-Neck Sweatshirt, Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt, Retroplush Hoodie +Winner Announced!

I can't believe this is the last week of October! 😱 This year is seriously on the way out and I'm seeing tons of holiday decorations in stores and emails about holiday shopping. Every year the holiday season starts earlier and earlier. I told my husband that soon it's just gonna be Christmas stuff all year round! 😂

Today's fit review is more Athleta. They just had another 20% off sale select pullovers and joggers. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XXS/PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon's tops and bottoms.

also wearing Balance Jogger Mocha Latte Size PXS

This Seasoft Scoop-Neck Sweatshirt reminds me of Lululemon's Softstreme fabric. It's very similar, just slightly thinner than Lululemon's version. I'm wearing size XXS here and it is a casual pullover with a wide crewneck opening. The sleeves are a bit long on me. My only gripe about this pullover is how tight the hem band is around the waist . The band is small and tight without much stretch. I could not fit it over my hips and I am wearing it folded underneath around my waist which isn't a bad look, it's just not how I'm used to having my pullovers fit. Sizing up would help but then the sleeves would be even longer. I ended up returning this one.

Next up we have the Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt in Toasted Brown Heather. I've reviewed this a couple of times so I won't get too detailed. I'm wearing size PXS. It's made of their softest fabric and feels super cozy on. The sleeves are very long even with the thumbholes.

This top seems to be a staple with Athleta, they have had this for a few years now and each year they keep releasing more colors. The Decadent Chocolate looks perfect for the holidays, I just wish the sleeves weren't so long!

Last but not least we have the Retroplush Hoodie hoodie in Shasta Purple. I had a hard time with the morning light and getting the color right. Shasta Purple is definitely more of a lilac pink than what it showing here.

This is pretty close to what it looks like in real life.

I'm wearing size XS in this hoodie. I would say it definitely runs on the small side. I was very surprised at how short the sleeves are. Sometimes Athleta can be very strange with the sleeve length. This is definitely the most petite friendly hoodie I've tried on without it being petite sizing!

This is a medium weight hoodie. The inside is lined with fleece and feels very cozy and warm. I love the kangaroo pockets. There is even a hidden side pocket with a zipper for safeguarding your things.

This hoodie is very comfortable and casual. I have to say, Athleta really makes some amazing pieces for everyday wear. That is the one thing that really stands out about Athleta. I tend to gravitate towards Athleta's joggers and pullovers on a regular basis. Whereas Lululemon is my go to for working out.

I'm a fan of the Retroplush Hoodie and hope to see it released in more colors. Next time I might even want to try this in a size small for a more oversized look.

  1. Thanks for another great review, Leslie!

The Seasoft Scoop-Neck Sweatshirt has a weird sizing. From the first picture you could tell the shoulders are a bit tight plus you mentioned it was tight at the hips, but if you size up the sleeves will be exxxxxtra long! Sad cos it's a cute simple sweatshirt, and I love the wide neck opening.

Just checked out the Retroplush Hoodie and only Light Grey Heather is available on the Canadian site. :( Have you tried their Retroplush Sweatshirt? The asymmetrical zipper looks interesting!

    1. Hi Andrea! I actually really like the Retroplush Hoodie in the Light Gray Heather. It would go great with any colored bottoms. That would actually be my pick I think if I were to do this again.

I do have a review of the Retroplush Sweatshirt coming. I think it's slightly off with the fit. Can't put my finger on it but the review is coming for this Friday. =)

  2. hi Leslie, I also like the Seasoft Scoop-Neck Sweatshirt, but I feel like I would need it in a size PXS! Hopefully they will release this in petite sizing in the future. I do love the Balance Jogger in Mocha Latte on you! The shade is very pretty and the fit is spot on!

    1. Hi Karen! The Balance Jogger is definitely a favorite of mine. I am loving them for a warmer jogger in the fall/winter. The Vuori is great for the summer and warmer temps but when it gets chilly, I find my ankles get cold!

  3. Congrats to the winner! Lucky person! I think the retroplush hoodie is SO CUTE on you! I prefer the LLL POCC over the athleta one based on how it looks. It's almost Halloween!!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
