Fit Review! J.Crew Cotton Cashmere Pullover Sweatshirt & Jogger Pant

In case you missed my last post, I'm giving away a $200 Lululemon gift card to one lucky winner to celebrate my 5th anniversary of PetiteImpact. All entries must be in by noon, Friday the 22nd, Eastern time. I will randomly pick a name and announce the winner. Good luck to all!

After I saw Lululemon's Ribbed High-Rise Jogger in Heathered Copper Brown, I was obsessed with trying to find a dupe of this set since I know Lululemon isn't the most petite friendly. Teaser - I do have a review of the Ribbed High-Rise Jogger coming up in Heathered Black. The Heathered Copper Brown is sold out in most sizes already. Not surprised!

Lululemon set

I actually found a very similar set on J.Crew. 😍 I like this even more because it's cotton-cashmere and they offer size XXS which I knew would likely fit. Plus it's on sale! I actually am really excited about this matching set. This is the kind of brown I can pull off. I actually prefer the crewneck pullover over the turtleneck shown in the Lululemon photo, but if you're more of a turtleneck person there is a matching Ribbed Turtleneck Cotton Cashmere in the heather caramel as well.

J.Crew set

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size XXS/PXS in J.Crew. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

How amazing does this set look? Plus I was able to get this set for under $130 with the code GOBIG

This outfit looks so good, I took a million pictures of it!

I'm wearing size XXS in the Cashmere Pullover and it's super petite friendly in that effortlessly casual look. I love the draping with the front half tucked. The crewneck does not feel too tight in the neck and the sleeves are just a tad bit long but I like to push them up. The cotton-cashmere is very soft and easy to care for. It's machine wash and dry!

The joggers are just a little bit too long on me, they measure 27 inches. The first couple of photos I showed them at the full length. The photos after show them cuffed at the bottom. I think it looks fine either way. I actually think this outfit looks great paired with the Rothy's Lace Up.

I can't recommend this set enough. Great for lounge days, work from home days, and running errands. It's also easy on the wallet. Loving this Heather Caramel shade and the texture of cotton-cashmere is heavenly.

The waistband is very stretchy and comfortable. The waistband hits my bellybutton and there is a drawstring to customize your fit.

That's it for me! Hope you enjoyed this review. Let's all have a wonderful week!

  1. The set looks awesome on you, Leslie, and it’s so petite friendly! I usually steer away from caramels and browns but I must say this color compliments your skin tone! A great buy indeed! You make me wanna give washable cashmere blend items a try!

I recently bought two pairs of kids’ soft spun joggers from GAP and size XXL fits perfectly! The best part is they were on sale and I paid just CAD 16 for each pair (got it in two colors)! Great for lounging and they are really comfortable. Definitely a steal and I’m saving money for a luxurious Lulu hoodie for the holidays! Hopefully they will release a plush hoodie again, but with matt and not shiny hardware!

    1. Thanks Andrea! Brown is a tricky color for me too. This one works nicely though! Very pleased with this set.

Ohhhh I love a good deal! I'm a sucker for comfy lounge items. The holidays are just around the corner. I am definitely interested in another plush hoodie. They are my favorite from Lulu.

  2. How easy is it to wash this material?

    1. It's really easy! I put it in the washing machine on delicate cycle - cold water. Then I throw it in the dryer on low for about 10 minutes and then I hang dry. You can leave it in the dryer but I am trying to keep it from pilling as much as possible. So far it's holding up nicely! This is my second cotton-cashmere set from J.Crew.

  3. Hi Leslie! I love this matching set! Brown seems to be a hot colour this season and this shade looks great on you. The joggers are especially flattering in the rear view and the length is perfect once you cuff it! What a great find!

    1. Thanks Karen! I am quite pleased. This shade of brown is really popular this year. I am also lusting after a golden brown bag as well!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
