Fit Review! Athleta Legend Travel Sweatpant & Sweatshirt | Balance Jogger & Hoodie

How is everyone? To all my Canadian friends, Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! The holidays are upon us. I've already been getting emails about holiday shopping. 😱 It's not even Halloween yet! I am hoping to travel to see my family for the holidays and have found two perfect travel outfits! This is part 2 of my Athleta haul.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. I typically wear size XXS/PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

First, this set is amazing! The fabric is very similar to Lululemon's Softstreme. Athleta calls it Soft Drape Scuba. The inside is not lined, it's the same material as the outside. It's nice and thick but very cool to the touch. Minimalist Gray looks very similar to Tidewater Teal, but more blue with a slight hint of green and gray undertones. Minimalistic Gray is more versatile than Tidewater Teal.

I love the zippered pockets!

I'm wearing size PXXS, which tells you these run large. I usually wear size PXS. There is a drawstring to cinch in the waist. This may help those who wear a size 2. These sit just underneath my belly button, super comfortable. The inseam measures 26 inches. The cuffs actually are tapered and fit well. I love that Athleta offers petites! Athleta and Vuori are the only joggers I can fit into that look like they're supposed to.

The Legend Travel Sweatshirt also runs large. I'm wearing size XXS. It's still very roomy on me, but I really like the oversized look and fit. The kangaroo pocket in the front has a zipper on top, which is really nice. Let's you store things without worrying it will fall out. The hem is stretchy and not too tight.

Overall, this is literally the perfect travel set. This set is also exclusive to the Allyson Felix limited edition collection. It's a little bit pricey, but so worth it! If you get a chance to use their 20% off coupons for Friends & Family do it!

I really like the large drawstrings on the hoodie. It's a nice contrast.

I really love Athleta's Balance line. This is another amazing set. Super soft and cozy. It's 1000% comfy and cute. The inside is lined with fleece. I'm wearing size PXS and I would say it is true to size. The sleeves are a bit oversized, but it's so comfortable, I'm willing to overlook it.

The color Mocha Latte is a gorgeous shade of pink with brown undertones. I think it's very pretty. This is a color that can also be worn during the Spring season. I'm really looking forward to wearing this set. Does anyone else love matching sets these days? It makes it easy to get dressed. I don't have to think about what I'm going to pair the jogger with. It keeps things simple with one less decision to make.

The fabric is Plush Nirvana, which is Athleta's softest line. It really feels like a dream. It's mid-weight and great for lounging or running errands.

I took a million photos of this set, because it's so frickin' cute! The Balance Jogger is just as comfortable and if you're going to buy one and not the other, I highly recommend getting the jogger over the matching top. The fit doesn't get any better than this if you're petite like me. I'm wearing size PXS and it's perfect. The length measures 26 inches.

The waist sits underneath my belly button. The waistband is very stretchy and comfortable. This Balance set costs a bit less than the Legend Travel set and it's mainly because of less details. Both are just as comfortable. The Balance set is budget friendly and again if you can get the 20% off coupon from Athleta, it's worth it.

It does show the pocket outline a bit, doesn't bother me but it is noticeable.

Are you a fan of matching sets? When I was a kid, I used to wear all matching sets to school all the time, it just made things easier to get dressed in the mornings. Who wants to make decisions at 6am? Let me know what you think of this set. Which set do you like more? The Legend Travel set or the Balance set?

That's it for me! Hope you all have a super fantastic week!

  1. Thanks for the fit review! Both sets looks amazing on you but I personally prefer the Balance set cos I don’t like white contrast stitchings and the bold drawstring. Minimalistic Grey is pretty though, and it looks less green on your pictures then those on Athleta’s website, I’m tempted to try it in the Pranayama Wrap but I remember you mentioning that the wrap material tends to pill. I hate to say it but I’ve already found minor pilling on my Studio Joggers. :(

I’m disappointed that Athleta didn’t offer any sale during Canadian Thanksgiving. Do we need to wait till Christmas?

    1. Hi Andrea! The website makes the Travel set look more green. It's actually blue. If it was more green based like the website I would have returned it.

The Pranayama Wrap is made of Nirvana fabric and it does pill because it is insanely soft. I have a couple of them and suggest if there is a heathered color you like, go for that. It masks the pilling pretty well. I also wash on delicate.

Did you get the black color for the Studio Joggers? I would have went for the black heather color. I have just come to expect with anything that's very soft, it's going to eventually pill.

Bummer! I bet you may have to wait until Black Friday or around there, but Athleta does do sales semi-annually as well, major sales so I would just keep an eye out! I have the card so I also get notification for Friends & Family sales.

    2. Hi Leslie,
Thanks for your advice. I have the Studio Jogger in both black and black Heather. Both have slightly pilled within a month or so. :(. I love the jogger and was tempted to get it in Minimalistic Grey but with the pilling I’m giving it a second thought.

Althleta items are more expensive than I thought and I would definitely wait for a sale! :D

    3. Oh wow, didn't realize you got both! I would also suggest hang dry or put them in the dryer for a few minutes inside out and then air dry. But yes I would pass on the Minimalistic Gray. Probably would show pilling easily.

  2. hi Leslie! Happy Thanksgiving! I like both sets on you! The Legend Travel set has a skateboard/ streetwear look to it and the Balance set looks comfy for lounging. If I were to choose one, I think I'd go for the Balance set. The fit of the Balance jogger reminds me of Vuori's Performance jogger, which is still my fav so far!

    1. Hi Karen! Vuori Performance joggers are still my favorite also. They have held up amazingly as well. Have washed them a million times and only just a little bit of pilling. I have noticed they are not as soft as they were brand new, but other than that, well worth the money.

  3. I love that blue color! The fabrics look so luxe and the sets look so nice!! I love the Mocha color too. I like the ribbon details on the Legend set especially the pants but I couldn't retie the bow that cute once it comes undone

    1. Hi Janessa! The ribbon details definitely makes the set more unique. I love it and it's so comfy. I'm sure you could get the bow looking neat! =D

Do you want to sell the Allyson Felix set? I would love it!

    3. Hi there, I still quite enjoy it. Not looking to sell it. Thanks for asking though!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
