Is it Monday already? I've been decluttering and decided to start new with my make up collection. A couple of weeks ago I purchased Caviar Eyeshadow Sticks and now I've added two new lip balms. I've finally realized in my 30s that I'm not a lipstick girl, I prefer tinted/sheer lip balms. Anyone else?
I'm a fan of Tom Ford's Soleil lip foils (I don't think they're in production anymore), and when I saw Soleil Balm Frost Lip Balm, I had to try it! Just look at this amazing packaging. It's definitely the most luxe lip balm ever. I also purchased a tube of Ilia's hydrating tinted lip balm in Memoir after reading all the rave reviews. I definitely noticed that Tom Ford is literally double the price of Ilia. 😅
Tom Ford's packaging is so shiny you can use it as a mirror. Ilia looks more like the traditional lip balm tube similar to chapstick. I went with Memoir which is a neutral mauve color. The first swipe is pretty sheer. The more you layer the darker the color gets. It is very moisturizing but I still prefer Fresh Lip Balm because it has SPF 15 and it just smells so good. I still like Ilia's enough to keep.
Look at this magical Cinderella lip balm! I can't get over how pretty it is. It's almost too nice to use, but heck with that, I'm using it everyday. It's mostly sheer with a hint of pink. It's iridescent, pearlescent, shimmering lip balm that hydrates and moisturizes without feeling sticky. I actually like layering this on top of another lip balm to give it extra shimmer. It's really expensive for what it is, but I think it's worth it. I've been using this for a few days now and the top layer of shimmer has come off, and underneath doesn't have as much of as shimmer as the outside layer but you still get a very subtle shimmer. It's not too blinding or in your face. Also you do not feel any grittiness at all, it's very smooth.

I'm obsessed with it to say the least. But with that I am done buying lip balms for awhile now. I've been thinking about getting a concealer, but we're still wearing masks on a regular basis so I may hold off on that. Nothing more yucky than getting your mask all covered up with make up, especially in the hot summer. That's it for me! Hope you all have a productive week!

Deletehi Leslie! Thanks for the review! The Tom Ford Soleil Balm Frost is so pretty! I also prefer tinted lip balms over lipstick. My go-to is Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rosé . It's moisturizing and lightweight, so I don't feel like there's anything on my lips. The colour is sheer and looks very natural. Have a great week!

DeleteI am totally a lipstick girl and I've missed it so much during the mask-wearing time. I do love tinted lip balms too. I wear the Fresh Sugar in Berry when I run because of the SPF and my lips can look cute while I'm sweating.

DeleteWow!! that balm is stunning!! I just use sheer lipsticks if I want color and use lip balms most days.. I really like Glossier's lip balms which has meh packaging because there's no applicator to apply directly on the lips but I love the scents. I like coconut and birthday cake and mint a lot. I haven't tried their tinted ones yet.
