Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 - Early Access Starts Today!

Happy Monday! For those of you looking forward to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, Early Access starts today. I don't have a Nordstrom card, so I won't be participating until Public Access - July 28th. I will say that this year the selection is quite disappointing. Normally there's 100 pages to look through, this year there's maybe half as much. I do think it's a combination of supply chain issues and the fact that things are starting to open up again and people want to spruce up their wardrobe. Things sell out fast even if it's not on sale. I do think that most of this will be gone by the time July 28th rolls around. At the same time, I don't think I'll be super disappointed if my wish list sells out. I will post a reminder when Public Access starts.

Let me know how you feel about this year's selection and what is on your wish list.

(Tip- I've been switching out Rothy's insoles for better ones and it's a total game changer!)

(I don't usually like animal prints but this one works!)

(Splendid makes some comfy cardigans, I used to have one that I wore to shreds.)

(One can never go wrong with a cashmere scarf.)

(This is my favorite one to use, so expensive but worth it.)

(I used to use eyeshadow quads, but after I discovered eyeshadow sticks, there was no going back to quads.)

(Every year I get a new Rails shirt, will I get one this year?)

(Back in the day I used to buy these!)

(Possibly the cutest PJs!)

(Every year I try and get one of these, but every year they sell out!)

(I'm always looking for good hand cream!)

  1. Love the Rails flannel and the Ralph Lauren Jacket!! I don't have a Nordstrom card but that's ok. Just fun to look and see what's trending these days

    1. Rails really does make some of the best flannels ever. Definitely worth getting one.

  2. I plan to pick up some skincare and candle sets. Have not worn much makeup during the pandemic so I don't need any more.

    1. I actually just threw out my entire make up collection because I haven't used any since the pandemic, but I am likely to be heading back into the office in September so I am replacing my collection. My make up was pretty old probably 2-3 years!

    2. I need to go through my fairly large makeup collection. It is embarrassing how many eye shadow palettes that I own. Fortunately powers keep for much longer than cremes. I do need to get rid of some older ones though.

    3. Ahhh I am pretty sure I had a couple of things there that were 5 years old! I tossed even though it really killed me! But I switched to eye shadow sticks... a lot less fall out than the palettes. I ended up never going back to using my Tom Ford quads. Which really hurt when I tossed! =D

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
