Fit Review Friday! Align Short 6 inch, Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew, Essential Tank Top Train, Wrap Front Wide Leg High Rise Crop, Metropolis Maven High Rise Crop

Happy Friday! This Lululemon review has been long overdue. In this post there are a couple of fit requests. Unfortunately one of the items - Wrap Front Wide Leg High-Rise Crop 24" is completely sold out at the moment. To be fair, they only released this in one color (Spiced Chai).

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Let's start with my third and hopefully last Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew in Gray Sage. I'm wearing size 0. I have posted this top a couple of times already so I won't get into too much detail here. I'm trying really hard not to pull the trigger on Red Merlot. It's like the perfect shade of red for me. 😅  I also tried really hard not not to purchase Align Short 6" Diamond Dye Graphite Gray Pink Pastel but as you can see I ultimately failed. I'm a sucker for pink and Diamond Dye.

Moving on! A fit request for the Essential Tank Top Train. I decided to try it in my usual size 4 and I was surprised at how much I liked the fit. It's really comfortable and easy to wear. I've already worn in a couple of times working out and have to say I love it. The inside is very smooth while the outside is a little more textured but still soft to the touch. It's sweat wicking and breathable.

Even though it is quite loose around the body, I would say it's still true to size in the shoulder area. It does flare out but I quite like the look. It's almost reminds me of a baby doll top. The length is longer on me than the model and it does cover my backside completely. I actually like the length a lot.

I do like the racerback cut. It's wide enough that it covers just enough but not too much.

I also decided to try this top in Wisteria Purple. It's a very pretty color, but in the end I decided to keep the black and returned Wisteria Purple. That said I wouldn't mind seeing this tank in a bright blue or a deeper shade of purple.

Not sure why, but both tanks have a very long crease down the middle. I tried steaming it out, but it didn't work! It does look very flattering from all sides. This is a winner in my book!

Next up we have another fit request for the Wrap Front Wide Leg High-Rise Crop in Spiced Chai. It is sold out right now, but maybe we'll see this released in more colors or a restock. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and found the waist to be just a tad too tight on me. Not enough to size up but it was slightly uncomfortable. That said I think if you're in between sizes, definitely size up. The tight waist is not so obvious from the front front because of the busy design, but you can definitely see the puckering from the back of the pants.

You can tell it's too tight underneath the waist band.

This is a very light weight summery pant made of Swift fabric. The wrap front creates an interesting look that draws the eye from top to bottom where it ends in a soft curve at the ankles. It's slightly busy with the ties but I think it still works. I do love the color Spiced Chai for these pants. I'm not sure they would look as pretty in any other color.

I was surprised that the wide leg didn't make my legs look short. However I do wish these were more cropped and not full length even though they measure 24 inches long. I do really like the side slits at the ankles. In the end I returned because of the tight waistband. Even though it looks cute, I wouldn't reach for them if it's not comfortable.

Last we have the Metropolis Maven High Rise Crop in Gray Sage. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and happy to report that this is true to size. I love the color and the Cupro-Modal-Blend Twill fabric. It's very soft and felt comfortable on, but unfortunately this is where all the positive things end. It just wasn't flattering on me. The cargo pockets on the side sit too low.

The length of these also measure 24 inches but unlike the Wrap Front Wide Leg High-Rise Crop, the fabric has a slightly heavy feel. I definitely think this pair leans more towards fall weather than summer. The pant leg also flares out a bit from the pockets. Overall, very unflattering.

I do like the flat waistband.

That's it for me! It's been a crazy week and I hope to get some R&R in this weekend. Whew! Hope you all enjoy your weekend. Let me know what you thought of this batch of fit reviews!

  2. Ohhh- the wrap-front crop looks really good on you! All the details make the pants so chic looking. I think the tie would accentuate my tummy though. Darn. You have the right physique for those pants. Thanks for doing the review!

    1. Thanks Sherry! I do wish the waist wasn't so tight. Sizing up I think would make the hip area too big. But yes it's completely sold out on the US site.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
