Fit Review! Free People Moon Dust Cardi & Bralettes

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend/had a fun Fourth of July! This review is going to be short and sweet. It's a Free People hoodie that I've been meaning to try forever.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wearing size XS in Free People. I'm typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

Love the flowy detail on the back.

This hoodie/cardi has very Mad Max vibes. It also might be something I'd wear to Burning Man, not that I've ever been. I really love the color Clove Bark. It's a very subtle pink with a hint of mauve on the bottom half of the hoodie. I'm wearing size XS and as you can see it runs large. I wish this came in a size XXS or at least in a petite size. The sleeves are loose fitting and a bit bunchy at the wrist.

There is something very unique about the raw seams and the bohemian look. I'm quite impressed Free People was able to pull this off as a hoodie. The hood itself is oversized and reminds me of the hoods you would see on a cape. This would make a great layering piece for fall. It's a midweight hoodie. I do think it would be a little hard to style because there's not much you can wear with this besides a pair of cut off shorts and boots, but maybe I'm not being creative enough. In the end I decided to return this as it is just a bit too big on me.

I did however really enjoy two of Free People's bralettes. I cannot recommend enough the Rockie Bralette and the Baby Racerback. Since 2020, I basically stopped wearing real bras. Seriously! It's been one of the best decisions I ever made. I wear either the In Alignment Bra when I need something more supportive and keeps the nips hidden, but if I'm just out and about or lounging around my house, I'm wearing a bralette.

I wear a size 6 in Lululemon bras and for the Rockie Bralette I wear size XS/S. It is super stretchy and comfortable, almost feels like you're not wearing a bra at all. I also have very small boobs, barely an A cup. The other bralette I really like is the Baby Racerback. This one I find runs a little smaller, and as I don't want to wear anything tight anymore, I opted for the M/L. I tried both sizes available. The M/L is slightly big on me, but much more comfortable. I'm probably going to order a couple more in both styles.

That's it for me! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  1. That bralette is super cute! I prefer them to lounge in too than even my LLL sports bras. I love FP clothing but sadly most of their styles are made for taller people! Some times they do release items that work for petite frames but it's rare.

    1. Agreed, it's so rare to find something from FP that fits. Hopefully they will have a petite line someday. Until then we have their cute bralettes!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
