Review! DeMellier The Mini Los Angeles

Is it Friday already?? Three more days until I head back home. I miss my furbabies! I'm always worried that they will forget about me. I FaceTimed them tonight and they couldn't care less. Although apparently my voice sounds different over the speakers, so maybe that's why? I'm also trying not to think about how many hundreds (maybe thousand?) of emails I'll have waiting for me at work. 😖

Apologies for not having a normal Fit Review Friday! I do have a ton of stuff waiting in Atlanta to photograph. I should have a decent review up next Friday.

Today I have a review of DeMellier Mini Los Angeles bag in the gorgeous teal color, which is unfortunately sold out now. I saw a few celebs carrying this bag and it piqued my interest. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

DeMellier The Mini Los Angeles

This mini bag is super cute and the size is definitely small. It can fit about as much as my Everywhere Belt Bag can hold. I would consider this a casual bag as well as something that can easily transition to a date night clutch. The straps are adjustable and removable- always a bonus. The shape of the Los Angeles is pillowy- very similar to Bottega Veneta's The Pouch but with a handle. Side note, I've been pretty obsessed with The Pouch, but can't justify the price. The Mini Los Angeles is a fraction of the cost. While we're talking about Bottega Veneta, the Mini Jodie is also on my wish list. The Intrecciato leather is amazing and I would love to get one in a pop of color. I am so sad that the price has increased again. It used to be $1500-$1600 when it was first introduced a few years ago, now it's $1900. Sigh. I've gone off on a tangent, sorry!

Carried as a clutch.

Right now there is a gorgeous electric blue available to purchase. I also really like the ochre smooth color as well. Full disclosure, I'm kind of a bag snob, although my collection does include Coach to Chanel and I do have a few Lululemon bags. How does DeMellier leather compare? Visually, the leather looks buttery and supple. I love the curves and the ruffles along the opening. However the leather is actually fairly structured which surprised me. The good thing is if you like the shape and how this bag looks in the photos, it is exactly the bag you will receive. The shape will not easily change. I actually prefer soft leather that drapes with the contents of the bag.

Handle drop is fairly small, it can fit over my hands but it will not allow to go up to the crook of my arm.

Base of the bag is flat and there are no feet.

Magnetic closure at the top.

One inside pocket.

Let's look at the finer details. The stitching is not as nice as what I'm used to. Even Coach has very high quality stitching and thread. This probably bothers me the most. In the end I decided to return this bag. The price is $370 and it's not terribly expensive for a genuine leather bag. This style also comes in a medium and large as well.

In other news, how cute is this rainbow clutch from Coach?? They have a special Pride Collection out right now. I am this close to placing my order. 😍

In today's WMTM update, a shout out to the Sweet Awakenings Bra now on sale for $39. I wear a size 6 and this is one my favorite purchases this year.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. I did place an order for the Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew Softstreme in Tidewater Teal. After going back and forth between the 0 and the 2, I opted for the 2. Hopefully this is the last of my Tidewater Teal purchases! When I get back to Atlanta, I will have a ton of new fit reviews coming. Stay tuned!

  1. A cute little handbag and love the gorgeous color! I like the design of the bag, especially the ruffles, but also prefer softer leather that drapes well.

The Coach Turnlock Clutch Rainbow is stunning! Go for it, Leslie! :D

Enjoy the rest of your New York trip!

    1. Eeeps! I really want the Coach clutch in Rainbow sooooo bad. It's pretty small, I wonder if I can justify having another mini bag.

Thank you! Just two days left before I head back.

  2. This bag is very cute! I like that it comes with a detachable crossbody strap. I think it looks more casual when worn across the body and more dressy without the strap. I've just bought a bag recently. Otherwise, I'd consider the midi size in taupe.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
