Fit Review Friday! Athleta Farallon Jogger, Farallon Short & Cabo Linen Short

Happy Friday! We made it to the end of another week and the beginning of a new month. Can you guys believe it's already April? I just can't. I am looking forward to getting my first dose of Pfizer next week. I'm gonna wait 10 days and then I'm getting a haircut!!! I need one soooo bad. I'm sure my hair stylist is going to be like "WTH happened to your HAIR, girl?!" Which I will reply, "Long story! Let's just skip it." 😆

Today I have an awesome Athleta review. This is part one and I should have part two posted next week.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 0 or 0P in Athleta bottoms. I'm also a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

Honestly, I have been eyeing these Camo Farallon Joggers for ages. I think I've been wanting to try them for over a year but just kept putting it off because of the price point and I don't usually like camo. But for some reason, the camo in this particular style really work for me. They're $108, but I was able to snag them on sale so I pulled the trigger. Verdict? They are AH-MAZING. Super soft and so comfortable. I am kind of regretting waiting so long to try them. They are up there with my Vuori joggers. Totally different fabric and style but same amount of comfort.

I'm wearing a size 0 and they run a little big. There's a drawstring to cinch the waist as needed, but they definitely do not feel restrictive in any way. If you're a size 2 or 0 at Lululemon, you may be sized out. The length on these measure 25 inches which is perfect for petites. They reach my ankles and look great with some Rothy's Lace Ups. The fabric is a very soft cotton blend. I will be living in these. If camo is not your thing, they also have these joggers in a really nice cypress green and birch gray. They're also $10 less. I may try the birch gray next.

Fitness update! For the entire month of March, I participated in an arm sculpt challenge and I think I am seeing some results! I loved it so much I will be continuing these workouts going forward. Check it out, I have some (small) guns. #flexFriday 😅

also wearing Ebb To Street Crop Tank Black Size 6.

Next up we have the Cabo Linen Short in Hearth Rose. I'm wearing size 0. The inseam is 4 inches long. The length hits my mid thigh. The fabric is 100% linen and it does wrinkle easily. They're not too thin, these feel mid weight. They do feel substantial without being heavy. The color is a very lovely mauve. I actually really love the color. The waist also has an adjustable drawstring. The one thing I didn't like about these are the pockets. They are straight up and down and I find it a little awkward to use. Not sure why they decided to place them this way, but it's not very practical.

These are semi-fitted and meant for casual wear. I do find them to be flattering, but the pocket placement was a deal breaker for me. They are very comfortable though.

And last but not least we have the Camo Farallon Short. These fit the same as the full length jogger version and I do love them if I'm being honest! They're super soft and comfortable. Flattering on my petite frame. They are pricey for shorts. They're $69 at full price but definitely easier to swallow on sale. I will link my 20% off referral link below for first time buyers.

I love these so much I ordered another pair in the heathered version. I think the 4 inch inseam looks great with a crop top for summer! I think they'll look amazing with my Cates Tee. Super casual but still put together.

Not to short in the back, and not too long in the front.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and for those celebrating, Happy Easter!

  1. Glad you found the Farallon as comfortable as I do. The bad news is that the camo print fades with washing. I didn't realize how much it faded until I purchased the camo shorts several months later after the joggers and compared. However I wash all my clothes on regular, not delicate, so that probably didn't help.

    1. Oh really... good to know. I guess I'll have to remember to wash these in the delicate setting. Thanks for the info!

  2. Can't believe it's already April either. I love that camo print in those joggers. I'm going to check them out!

  3. hi Leslie, I'm happy that you'll be getting your vaccine next week! I really need a proper haircut too! And highlights, ha ha! In Canada, vaccine rollout began with frontline/essential workers and the elderly, but I'm hopeful that my age group will be eligible in a month or so.

The Farallon joggers are a great fit on you! I think the length is perfect and they look relaxed, but not sloppy. I really like them! The Farallon shorts look nice too! The front pockets and length are very flattering!

    Have a happy Easter!

    1. Thanks Karen! I hope you're able to get your vaccine appointment soon.

The pockets on the Farallon are really big and can fit my phone, super practical. Have a Happy Easter!

    2. Thanks for your super helpful review. I’m about the buy the farallon camo shorts in size 2 and realised you wear size 0! I’m a size 4 lululemon and hardly buy Athleta because of the risky fit and I’m not based in the US. Every purchase is a gamble. I think if you wear size 0 I have to buy that too since I’m almost like in between US 2-4 for Lululemon. Thank you for your helpful review and the fit pics

    3. Hi there! Yes Athleta tends to runs large. I hope the size 0 works out for you! I love the Farallon line, they are seriously super comfy.

    4. What do you wear for Speedlight tank and momentum tank ? I’ve always wondered about my fit. I’m US 4 in lulu for tanks and got XS for Athleta’s speedlight tank but found it quite loose. Yet I am unsure if XXS would be too tight on me.

    5. Hmmm I haven't tried those two on, but sometimes I can fit the XXS or XS. Are you able to make returns easily? Can always try both and see which one you prefer. I also don't like tops to be tight so I would also prefer the looser size.

    6. Hey i just wanted to give you an update. I got the Camo Farallon shorts in Size 0 and they fit but were a bit loose. Too bad it's the smallest size. I can use the drawstring but the string is really long! I also got the Speedlight Tank in XXS and they fit me perfectly this time! Had been buying them in XS which turned out to be a little big for me. I am Lululemon US 4 but I can sometimes wear US 2 as well just depends on the fit/look as US2 tends to be narrower in the shoulders. I hope this info helps everyone looking to buy and unsure of sizes.

  4. Does anyone know if these stretch out with wear? I seem to be between a 2 and 4 and I can't decide which size to keep.

    1. The Farallon style does stretch out a little bit. I can't speak for the Cabo Linen Short. I returned those.

  5. After less than a year, my farrallon joggers started to get holes. They are cute and comfy, but not worth it for less than one year of use and are now going to be house pants only.

    1. Hi! I have read that in some of the reviews, but I haven't had any issues with mine yet. What do you think the holes were caused from? Wear or washing? I've been washing mine on delicate or casual setting.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
