Review! Rothy's Mary Jane Golden Gingham & Kid's Rose Double Stitch Loafer

Happy Friday My husband and I have been renovating the bedroom. It's something we've been talking about doing for two years and it's finally happening! So far we have repainted all four walls, pulled up the carpet and now the flooring is about to be put in. (Jared is mainly doing this all himself I'm just helping out where I can.) After that we are finally upgrading our bed from a full size to king size. I cannot wait!!! New nightstands, new rug and then I think we're done. Would you guys be interested in seeing a post on this renovation? Let me know.

So this purchase goes back to my 40th birthday. It actually goes even further back, fall of last year when I first saw them pop up on Rothy's website. I fell in love immediately with the Golden Gingham. At the time I thought, I've got no where to go wearing these pretty shoes so I put them off to the back of my wishlist. My first pair of Mary Jane's was purchased February of 2020 and I loved wearing them to the office, until of course we all had to start working from home.

With it being my big 40th I decided it was time to take the plunge and buy these before my size sold out.

For reference I am a size 5 in all Rothy's. In kids I wear a size 4, they fit slightly loose but they still stay on, just not a snug fit.

These are just so beautiful! 😍 The marigold yellow with the gingham bow is just perfection. I will be going back to the office sometime this year. Probably by summer or fall. I can't wait to bring these babies out! In the meantime I admire them on my shelf.

It does take a little time to get the bows just right, but once they look good and they're pulled tight, they usually stay for the most part of the day. Some people do stitch the bows down and then you just slip your feet in.

Are they cute or what?!

Every so often Rothy's will release a super limited edition shoe and I fell in love with the Rose Double Stitch. This pattern also comes in The Flat and The Point. I went with the kids loafer in this pattern.

The shape isn't as sleek as the women's version but I can't complain about it too much since they cost $100 less! 😳 They are very comfortable flats. I will be wearing these out now that it's warming up.

I'm keeping this post short and sweet. Have a great weekend everybody! Hopefully things will be back to normal by next week and I have more reviews coming!

  2. Both pairs of Rothy's look nice on you. I hope the bows will stay put when you walk. The ribbons are kinda thick, so they look like they will come loose easily. Otherwise, they look very cute! I like the kid-size ones too! They look very comfy!

I'd also love to see your room makeover. It's great that you guys are able to do all the work yourselves! A change from full-size to king-size bed will certainly be a nice upgrade! Have a great weekend!

    1. The bows do stay put for the most part. I usually just tighten the bows a little throughout the day if I notice them coming loose. I've only worn them to the office though! They're soooo cute and I always get a lot of compliments on them. The kids loafers are very comfy. I wish they would come out with more adult colors and patterns.

We do try to do what we can. It's a lot of work, but I think in the end it is sooo worth it!

      Have a great weekend Karen!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
