Fit Review Friday! Athleta Balance Jogger, Balance Sweatshirt, Organic Daily Camo Crew, Friends & Family Sale Starts Today!

Happy Friday! Athleta is having their Friends & Family sale right now until March 8th. It's card members only.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size PXS or XXS/XS in Athleta. I'm also a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

I really love the Balance Sweatshirt, which I've reviewed a couple of months ago, and decided I needed to try the matching jogger. The length of this jogger is 26.5 inches long on size PXXS and the cuffs measure 4 inches wide. They are not baggy at all and quite flattering. I was soooo close to keeping these, but I personally am not a fan of the wide waistband. To be honest I'm a little spoiled by the Vuori joggers. The Balance joggers feel super soft and very cozy on the inside, but that waistband is not for me. It's very wide and fairly snug on the waist. It's also fitted throughout the hip. The length is perfect for petites!

Next up, I've had my eye on this Organic Daily Camo Crew tee for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. I went back on forth on the sizing. I couldn't decide if I wanted a more fitted look with the petite XS or go for comfy casual and get the petite small. The comfy/casual won. Plus I don't have to worry about it shrinking too much in the dryer. This tee is very thin. It's similar to J.Crew vintage tees which I also love. They're perfect for hot summer weather. The price is steep for a tee. It's $49. Ouch! I was able to get this using a coupon. Still expensive in my opinion for what it is.

Before I sign off, I just wanted to show a couple of photos how the Balance Jogger and Sweatshirt look together as a set. I do think it's a great look. I love the Balance Sweatshirt so much I want it in another color, just wish there were more options to choose from.

Also wearing In Alignment Bra Size 6

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great weekend and let me know if you shopped the Athleta's F&F sale! I've got my eye on quite a few items.

There was a WMTM Update

Lots of green and these next three items would make a great outfit!

  1. I love how the jogger looks on you! Fitting is perfect, even the length! Too bad the waistband is too thick for your liking.

I think you’ve picked the right size for the tee. One size down would’ve fitted snug. I personally prefer the comfy/casual look as well. Have you ever tried Lululemon’s Love Crew? Wonder if it’s worth the price.

I got lucky and snapped two pairs of Align Shorts 6” on sale. Also managed to get an On the Beat Belt Bag for $49. Only $9 cheaper but I’ve been thinking of getting one, and looks like this style has been discontinued. I like how big it is (4.5L) and hope it won’t disapppoint.

    1. Hi Andrea!

I did try the love crew tee a long time ago. It was very long on me and wasn't crazy about the curved hem. Haha you commented on it too. But maybe they have updated it since this post. I didn't think it was worth the price especially based on the fit. Also super thin fabric and very clingy.

I grabbed one of the 6 inch shorts too! I'm very excited... let me know how you like On the Beat Belt Bag.

    2. I remember trying on the Love Crew once but forgot why it didn’t work LOL. Also wonder if there has been any changes in material or cutting.

Will definitely let you know if I like the belt bag. Just wish I had pulled the trigger when there were nicer colors!

      Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Thanks for the fit reviews, Leslie! It's too bad that the waistband of the joggers fits snug. The cutting and back seams of the joggers are very flattering and the set looks so nice together! I don't mind a wide waistband, but it has to be very stretchy. Otherwise, it becomes uncomfortable after prolonged sitting, especially after a meal. I agree that the Vuori joggers are super comfy for wearing all day long.

    1. Hi Karen! Yes it looks so good, but the waistband isn't that stretchy. I just got another pair of Vuori joggers in the light camo. =)

  3. I LOVE that matching hoodie and jogger set. Love that toasted brown heather color.
I want to try the All Yours Crop tee and might snag it on sale! I think matched with green or black camo align shorts would be cute but I might get the grey space dye since I hear it's super soft

    1. I want to try the All Yours Crop Tee as well but I think it looks a little too cropped? I do have the Cates Tee and love it. Would def pick up more on sale. I have a few 6" Align Shorts coming my way. Super excited about those too!

    2. Yea I decided against the AYCT cause I looked up some fit pics and it's really short and not so versatile. Definitely love align 6" shorts!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
